Pretty cool list Lewgold put together. Good reference sheet for how long these guys are (and aren't) under contract, etc.

Chris Simms counts just $2.54 million against the cap next year?

Now there's a bargain!

Yep...especially since he'll get that money to try and be on someone elses squad....
A rookie FA QB from Little Sisters of the Poor State College could beat him out.

Nice job, Popps.

I remember many Orton bashers were convinced that Simms would be better than Orton. They grew very silent about that one.

I didn't realize my boy Prater was one of the 20 RFAs this year. He definitely earned himself a nice contract with this season's play.

Everything will be fine. Paxton will still be longsnapping.

But on happier fronts it looks like Bowlen is gonna save about 7 mil thanks to Dan Snyder

Well considering you think he should be our starter it's not bad. :spit:

No Ryan Clady?

They cut him to make room for that backup punter...

He's just not very good after the catch or accountable for that matter...

His cap hit is bigger than that but there is no cap if you understand that. His base salary is $2.54m so he'll be cut, IMHO.

That's $2,535,000.00 to much for that clipboard rack!

You'd pay 5k for a movable clipboard rack...man have I got a deal for you.

I think that is more attributable to Simms biblical suckage than Orton's all-world talent.

How many 100 millions do you need to enact that plan? and why on earth would replace Wiegman with Mawae? Did you just look down and decide which foot to shoot yourself in or did you actually think about that one?

Go big or go home baby! Haha, I know it's a pipe dream - I was just looking over the FA list and salivating. :wiggle:

I have a bit of man-crush on Mawae. Dude's a bad ass. What about given Olsen a try at Center?

Now that's just mean. Ha!

Didn't you hear? Clady was overheard yesterday saying he was glad the season is over, so they cut him.

He wants to play in San Diego, where it's warm, he has trouble breathing in the cold. it's why he didn't catch that pass..

I think that we can maybe pull of a Vince Wilfork and/or Richard Seymour signing, but I don't think we can get Chris Snee or Logan Matkins (maybe an outside chance) and we difinitely do not need Mawae when we have big Casey at center.

Either one of those guys (Seymour or Wilfork) would be massive additions.

The good news is, McDaniels comes from a franchise known for putting high priority on the lines. Hopefully us line-junkies around here will get our fix this offseason.
