Well, Marshall being benched was a non-issue, at least from a production standpoint.

Many, many bigger issues to deal with.

Great job by Hillis running the ball out to the 15 yesterday, though. That, plus not converting on 3rd and 1 inch last week.

You're right, he's a real difference-maker.

Yesterday was proof that Orton can move the ball without Marshall.
It was shown that the offense gets recievers open.

Marshall the player is great...the person isn't.

Get a first rounder for him and try to land Dez Bryant in the draft. Also take a shot a Breaston in free agency.

Do u really need to be explained on why he got him? If we found a spot to get Willis as a WR, I think it is in our interest to have Colquitt on our roster for preseason. Does that really bother you that you would need to post about it? Figure out the facts first before posting.

Are we going to get a #1 for BM? Should we do smart and defer BM trade to #1 pick to 2011?

On Twitter.....from Rotoworld....

Brandon Marshall cleaned out his locker immediately after the Broncos' season, removing his nameplate and all.

"It's empty," beat writer Frank Schwab observed, adding that the move "left quite a message." Marshall is headed to restricted free agency, but is likely to go directly on the trade block. The trading period opens in early March

He's going to find his money. But will he ever find happiness? His off-field life has been drama.

Gaf also had a one-handed catch that mirrored what Brandon can do.

I've always loved Gaf, but keep in mind that his #'s were a direct result of Orton, who locks onto one receiver and that is where the ball is going, hell or high water. I loved how he caught it in triple coverage. Which you need to do with Orton.. cause the guy is gonna throw you the ball, no matter what the coverage.

Marshall got 21 receptions in a game. He also by the Eagles game, was one of only two receivers that had caught a TD grab by Orton. By the halftime, Gaf had 11 receptions, 3 other receivers had.. 1 each. Rather telling imo.

Love Gaf.. do not love the reason why he caught all of those.

I agree with that, as well as the discussion on Gaffney, but I do think he's capable, maybe not as talented as Brandon, but do I really want to support a woman beating douche bag? Seriously, look how that worked out for the teams that had the ultra talented running back OJ. He was a wife beating douche, proven, regardless of the other crap, but clearly a very talented back, but no superbowl rings. Fundamentally when someone shows you who they are, "believe them." Marshall has supreme talent, but he has also shown to be temperamental, violent and egotistical to the point of putting only his self interests before the team (granted self interest is important, but he is a special kind of ass, no matter how talented).

They didn't wait Gaffney got his 1st TD of the year vs Philly so it was clear that week 16 was his break out game and he was a monster that could not be contained in week 17 vs KFC...until he was double covered and disappeard forcing Orton to try throwing to his 2nd option which caused 3 INTS.

But his TD totals will surely go up next year.

Marshall has been our main target. I'm guessing that with Marshall in the game, Gaffney would have been running a completely different set of routes. Clearly, Orton is most comfortable throwing to these patterns.

Not taking anything away from Gaffney, though. I've liked him all year. He's been a great addition.

I, for one, will miss his production. He was our offense.

Marshall either didn't play in or didn't play particularly well in 3 of the Broncos best offensive outings (Cleveland, Philly, KC). In reality, despite the good numbers he put up this year, without him they're looking at probably flipping just one of the wins for a loss. He put up the majority of his numbers in losses or games that we cruised.

Or maybe the offensive scheme does it's job and gets guys open well. It's not like Marshal was trying to catch many in triple coverage like with Cutler.
