I have the broncos doing one trade . They Trade Marcus Thomas to detroit for a 4 rounder.

1. Rolando McClain , best linebacker in draft

2. Kristofer O' Dowd , center one of Denver biggest needs.

3. Mike Neal, good size and speed for 3-4 defensive end

4a. Sean Canfield, I think Canfield fits what McDaniels wants at QB.

4b. Mike Williams, first round talent but falls because he quit Sryacuse football team. Maybe we get another Marshall.

6. Jeffery Fitzgerald , another defensive end to develope.

7. Matt Dodge , rated as top punter.

The Broncos also sign free agents Aubrayo Fraklin , Ellis Hobbs ,Logan Mankins and Kevin Faulk .
They resign. Marshall. Kuper, Dumervil, Scheffler and Orton.

I really like what you did here but I wonder if CB wont be more of an issue this offseason than most think my guess is that McD doesnt want so much tied up at one spot and champ will be asked to restructure or he will be moved.

I think Joe Haden and McClain are neck and neck for our first pick in draft. I also like Kyle Wilson if the Broncos can get another 3 rounder. I also have the Broncos signing Ellis Hobbs.

That's actually a pretty good draft. It hits all the big holes and brings solid value. I'm not sure if Williams will fall that far, but that doesn't seem too far off right now. I doubt we keep all of our FA's and pick pick-up Mankins, but it' s a nice idea.

Why are you sold on getting rid of Marcus Thomas though? This is your 2nd mock with a Thomas trade.

It takes three years or more for a Dlineman to develop in the NFL. Thomas will be in 4 next year, and I'd think the coaches would like to see what he's got then. I am not sure Thomas would be traded. Having said that, I have no idea what the FO will do in FA or in the draft. Your guesses here are not as good as any......

Because the Broncos will only keep 8 defensive lineman and thomas is more of a 4-3 dt. The broncos Nt Franklin,Fields,Baker De. Pederson , McBean. Neal, Holiday, Fitzgerald. They also have Smith who also could make team.

I love youir draft and would have no problems if it feel that way, esp. the first four picks and addressing the punter's position later. I have to believe that the FO makes a play for Mankins given McD's history with him. You addresses a boatlaod of needs here with people who may be able to help out early.

I'll throw some ideas out that might be a little "out of the box" (not mind ;))

I assume we trade BMarsh to Cincy (they need a WR and Marvin can handle head cases) for a 1 and 3. So then....

First Round: Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma State
1B (trade with Cincy for BMarsh) ILB Brandon Spikes Florida
Second Round: G Mike Johnson Alabama
Third Round: C JD Walton, Baylor
3B (from Cincy) DT Lamar Houston Texas
Fourth Round: RB Montario Hardesty Tennessee
Fifth Round: QB John Skelton Fordham
Sixth Round: CB AJ Wallace Penn State
Seventh Round: WR Pat Simonds Colgate

I hope we don't go WR with 10th pick. I think we can get a good one lower first mid 2nd. Nice effort though.

Good effort. But I would hope you would opt for a punter somewhere in there......

Was there a more worthless draft than 2003? Really Shanny, that draft sucked donkey balls.

98-05 pretty sparse with talent, 06 stellar, 07 suck, 08 pretty good, 09???

That is depressing. I know the draft is a crapshoot but 1998-2005 was just terrible. You would think that over time, we could get 25% of those players to at least stay on the team for 4+ years.

Throw in a fifth...AND BRAAAAAIIIIINS.

Man I love mocks so much (but ironically I hate watermock), but I just can't get into doing one until I know wtf we're doing with BM. Anyone know when teams can start trading again? As soon as the season's done?
