17 inches of snow and 25 mph wind in Minot. The city is shut down and they pulled the plows off the roads yesterday evening. The wind is supposed to die down sometime this afternoon and then they will start clearing again. My wife and I are stuck at my parents house until then. All the highways are shut down I think.

I think back home got it a lot worse than Fargo did. Thank God I won't be up there until the 5th. I'll get my camera out and take some later. I think we got around 12 inches.

Why would anyone in their right mind WILLFULLY live there?

cold weather--worse for arthritis, higher rate of cardiovascular events, higher incidence of influenza inoculation rates etc..........better you than me.

About a foot here in Bismarck, got back to town yesterday a few hours before they closed the major roads down, still no travel advised as we speak....by tomorrow morning the wind is supposed to go down. A foot of snow and 40 mph winds makes for a blustery day.
