http://blog.denverbroncos.com/denverbroncos/pro-bowl-voting-update-no-3/

- Champ Bailey is the leading vote getter in the AFC at CB.

- Brian Dawkins has the second most votes at SS behind Troy Polamalu.

- Elvis Dumervil is second in votes at OLB, trailing only James Harrison.

- Eddie Royal ranks third behind Joshua Cribbs and Darren Sproles in votes for return specialist.

Now the bad news...

- Brandon Marshall is not listed amongst the top five vote getters at WR. Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Randy Moss, Chad Ocho Cinco and Wes Welker all are ahead of him.

- Ryan Clady is no longer one of the top five vote getters at OT. Miami's Jake Long leads in the voting.

- D.J. Williams, who was in the top five during the last update, is no longer one of the top vote getters at the ILB spot.

I can see the other guys being in front of Brandon - for now, but the Clady snub is terrible.

It seems like all offensive linemen get voted in strictly based on their team's rushing rank.

1. Keep Marshall off the list. It will be a travesty of justice, but it might help our contract situation.... or maybe not.
2. I don't know many AFC LT's that are better than Clady, so the coaches vote could swing this a lot. Aren't they 30% of the final count.
3. About DJ. He is having a good year, but hasn't really been a "cornerstone" player. He is tied for 16th in tackles. Probably won't make it to the Pro Bowl.

these are fan votes and not the entire process. If the players think they belong, they will get him in. I think Eddie got a ton of votes just based on the SD game being on MNF with a massive audience.

None of our guys are gonna play in the Pro Bowl anyway because we are Super Bowl Bound

Doom, BM, and Clady.

My boy Vernon Davis has been kickin' it. He's a beast too.

And of course Cutler, he's a lock.

Really? How many of those other guys set a single game recieving record so far this season?

Moss and Wayne do not deserve to be in there over Marshall.

Take out the game on Sunday and marshal has 3 fewer catches than Moss. With almost 300 fewer yards and 2 TD's less.

Wayne 92 REC 1210 yards 13.2 yds/c 10 TD 14-0
Moss 69 REC 1074 yards 15.6 yds/c 9 TD
B Marsh 86 REC 1008 yards 11.7 yds/c 9 TD

Oh and on a yards comparison...there's a TE ahead of Marshall.

Compare the 3 offenses, who's throwing each the ball. Then take a look at how they have impacted their team this year and come back and tell me that Wayne and Moss deserve the nod over Marshall.

woa woa woa, was that an Orton swipe?

Orton is an upgrade at QB this year according to most here. Marshall should be putting up better numbers than last year.

All this does is make it harder for contract negotiations. The more Broncos play in the Pro Bowl the more it will cost us and the less likely all will be resigned.

acutally he is, 9 TDs this season and sets the receptions record, Orton has given marshall better numbers than cutler EVER did. In his first year here btw

The fan voting is ****ing stupid. Our second string fullback is on pace to get voted in for some reason.

From the NFL.com confirm page:

"To ensure your favorite player makes it to the Pro Bowl, please feel free to vote as many times as you would like."

Yeah, sounds like a real reliable way to determine the best players.

actually, it's about exactly the same as the last 2 seasons. thanks for playing.

2007 REC 102 YDS 1325 AVG 13.0 TD 7
2008 REC 104 YDS 1265 AVG 12.2 TD 6
2009 REC 106 YDS 1241 AVG 11.7 TD 11 *PROJECTED NUMBERS

was also awesome how the 2nd leading receive on the team had 91 receptions...this year? 32. sweet.

Clady certainly shouldn't be fifth, more like 2 or 3, but Jake Long IS having a better season by a nose. Fewer penalty yards and 1 full less sack surrendered.

The good news is that the fan vote unofficially has had it's "influence" lessened of late. Last year most of the Redskins were toward the top for votes and then when the players and coaches votes came in few of any made it to Hawaii.

The fan vote garners ad dollars and makes fans feel more involved... but it wouldn't surprise me if the NFL completely ignored those votes and just split the coach/player votes 50/50

Marshalls numbers are better then last year. He will probably end up with about the 95-105 catches abotu 1200-1300 yards and 12-13 tds his catches might drop by a couple his yards will be about the same but his touchdowns will probably DOUBLE.

The other guys might not be getting alot of catches but i think that is due to our rushing game. and us not having to pass every frigging down. Its ball control. Im ok with the running game taking up the brunt of this offense.

It's funny we don't have a single player on ofense like the ones drafted in 06/08.

Despite drafting 6 of 9 on offense last year.
