how many years does he have left? his coverage is obviously not what it used to be, but hes still a force in the run game, short routes and blitzing the QB....

I think he can be what Lynch was for us for at least 2 more years... probably not a lot more.

Like Al, and Lynch... I just can't even bear to think of the Broncos without him.

But, hopefully the staff will plan for that day. I just want to avoid thinking about it.

As long as he likes I suppose.

He is still a baller

He is better than I thought he would be and he doesnt look like someone who is on the brink of retiring

Unless injuries catch up with him *knock on wood* I see no reason why he cant be here for at least a couple more years

I believe he can opt out of his contract after next year, so I guess we will just cross that bridge when we get there

Look at his contract. He'll play next year, then be gone. The contract is voidable after 2 years without any penalties to the Broncos.

I'd say it will be year-to-year type deal.
Obviously he's not getting any younger, but he brings a lot of good to the defense and much more than just his playing...

the staff is already planning for Dawkins, Hill, Goodman and Champ no longer being here. McBath, Bruton, Barrett and Smith are now learning from the vets in preparation of taking their jobs in the next couple years.

He's been very blessed to play at such a high level for such a long time. I agree it will be a year by year thing. I think as long as he brings the same intensity and he feels his body can keep going and he can play at a high level he'll play.

So that is why they went out and signed Ty Law off the street and demoted Smith. So he could learn how to play and one day win a job.

1 more year. Safeties drop off pretty fast once they hit that wall.

1 more good year, then I think he calls it quits.

I am going to say he will be back for more two years with us as long as we are competitive. He is a great pass rusher and works great in our 3/4 scheme.

2yrs will be plenty...by then the young guys will be ballers

He will have lost another step by then. He is playing at nearly a Top 5-8 Safety level. I can live with that over the people we ran out there the past few years. The young guns have a lot to learn from him.
