In case no one else was watching ESPN just now, that is what Freeny had to say about Clady

I have to say that is news to me, but I am curious if others here think Freeney is right.

So how many sacks do you think Freeney will get tomorrow?

I hope Clady hears about it.

Actually, I think Freeney has it backwards. Dwight struggles against dominate offensive tackles.

Interestingly, the only player I know who consistently has been giving Clady problems is Richard Seymour who is neither fast nor super manuverable, on the other hand he has owned Demarcus Ware who has excellent speed and agility.

Good point. I watched that match up with Ware pretty intensively...

Tamba Hali has no speed. He beat him on sheer desire and want-to...good technique and agility...that was all.

I guess we'll see tomarrow but Clady has went against some very good de's demarcus ware,John Abraham, Julius Peppers, Dereck Burgess, Osi Umenyoura/Justin Tuck,Shaun Phillips/Merriman. He has done well for himself I think he's a good young left tackle.

Clady is a great player, but his greatness is a bit overrated around these woods. There are times when his talent and athleticism just dominates, but there are times when him being a 2nd year 23 year old shows up too. Should be one of the most fun matchups to watch in a few hours.

A lot of great LTs struggle with speed and change of direction... but when you put a challenge on the table like that, most guys with Clady's talent tend to rise to the occasion.

Clady will be fine. He has a battle ahead of him tomorrow for sure, but he'll rise to the challenge....Now if Orton needs to get that ball out a bit faster to help the cause.:afro:

Desire, want to, and the fact that Kyle Orton held the ball for like a 100 seconds. God, you hold on to his three sacks like a super bowl victory.

Shhhhh, Bob really believes Hali "beat" Clady and it had nothing to do with the fact that Orton held the ball for ten minutes.

It's easy to get a sack when the opposing QB tries to pump fake while backed up on his own 1.

Oops dumass. Maybe he should get together with Seymour and commiserate about how owned they are.

Freeney gets 19 sacks. (That's for Spider)

Seriously, on turf, Freeney has the advantage, even with Clady knowing snap count. Freeney's first step is still pretty incredibly, but he's also got the twist and turn-ability that could get clady caught in the wash.

If Clady can keep Freeney to a couple of sacks, but not allow him to wreak havoc all day long, it ought to be considered a victory. Keep in mind that Freeneys' been banged up, so he may not be playing at 100% and may not play the whole game.

Doom, on the other hand, just might be the key--if he can play the role that Merriman usually does v the Colts--that is, an every down nuisance for Manning that gets him thinking about getting the ball out before Doom hits him, the rest of the defense should flow from that.

I'm hoping for one of those pancake blocks where the O-Lineman flops on the defender afterward.

Keep him to two sacks would be considered a victory for Clady?

Sorry, but screw that. Freeney has only managed two sacks in a game once all year, why should today be an automatic feeding frenzy for him?

Clady's one of the best pass blockers in the league, and he needs to go out and prove that today.

I do think Clady struggles when defense lines an end up over him and then blitz the OLB, making him choose between the two. That what happened in the Chefs game. But the QB and RB need to do their job and help him out.

Freeney may only play in a limited manner..still hurt, barely got on the field last year then reinjured it in the game. Mathis is barely able to go if at all! Clady struggles against Speed and change of direction huh? He practices against Doom every day. Clady allowed half a sack last year against better ends and LBs that we have played this year. Clady is league wide concidered the best young tackle in the game!

We run it down the colts throat and wear out those two gimps...wait didn't we end up with the Ground player AND the rookie of the week in the backfield? And the Fullback rushing for 47 yards on one drive?
