After the cakewalk Manning had much of this season, facing a Broncos secondary stacked with veteran pro bowlers is going to be a shock.

Ilike the spread, but not the game.

Reason? Denver still folds on defense.

take Cincy to cover against the hornheads.

#1 pass offense vs #2 pass defense, storyline of the game. Funny though how sometimes the game is completely different then what everybody expects.

I don't care how good the pass defense is when it's going against Peyton Manning.

Manning did give us some praise though in the locker room. He said we're going to be the most experienced secondary he's ever gone against in his career.

Indy struggled a bit the last month or so and had to come from behind in the fourth multiple times. Seems to be a connection there.

Law is great in a zone and has picked Manning more then anyone. I'm calling it, Law for a pick 6.

if he did this he could sh*t the bed the rest of the season and post season but would still be worth the pickup x10.

I'll give you the pick but not the 6. No way does Law out run Wayne, Garcon, or Collie for a score.

I Hope we play man to man coverage and pressure Manning, he may beat us long once or twice but it is better than giving him all day to pick apart the zone and take the short gimmies all day. I rather put the burden on the secondary to cover and rattle Manning with pressure.

On O I hope we see a lot of Buck & Moreno

I'm gonna go ahead and call it Moreno will have a breakout game this week, the stage is set. He is facing a weak run D. He is in a dome with a fast track. He has been building for a bust out game for two weeks. I think Knowshon will get about 130 years rushing on Sunday. We will win the game going away.

Nice stats. However, he still hung 35 on Houston and NE, the best 2 pass 'D's he has seen all year. It is all about Melonhead, thou. Shut him down and this game is over.

Our achillie's heel has always been the hurry-up offense and if we don't have an answer for that it will be a long day.

The defense rating goes out the window when you have to play the same personel on every down. Granted, we have made strides to improve from the Shanny teams that made wholesale changes depending on the down. I love it that Doom is a 4 down player now.

The point of the thread is that he hasn't faced any good passing defenses. So it's no surprise he put up those points especially against NE.

Hard to know how hard he was running, but on the Ayers TD where the defense turned on the jets to escort him to the endzone, DJ was out running Law

Also, this thread has the premise wrong: Manning is the destroyer of pass defenses and no team that has faced him has a top 10 defense as a result. They were irreparably altered.:strong::twokisses

Our achillie's heel has always been the hurry-up offense and if we don't have an answer for that it will be a long day.

The hurry up only works when you have a rhythm going. If you can disrupt that rhythm and make Manning want to slow it down you can take that away.

That being said, the defense has to be ready for those quick-count snaps that manning loves to catch defenses off balance.

I hear ya, although I would say that #14 is not too shabby. I gonna guess that he will still hang at 24 on us - which means the 'O' is gonna have to step it up.

it is still Peyton Manning. it isn't like he is some rookie who succeeded having a cakewalk schedule only to now face a defense he has never seen before.

Peyton is still a threat, regardless of the defense he is playing.

Relentless pass rush against Peyton will give us a chance. He does have a quick release and he's very adept at reading pre-snap defense formations. We need to create some stunts and paly tight on defense.

Think this will be Josh McDaniells signature game so far this season.

The Broncos will be better coached in this game and will win the game as a result. 27 - 21

The 3 best pass defenses they played were New England, Baltimore, and Houston (#13, #14, #15) = 26.75 pts per game average

The 3 worst pass defenses they played were Tennessee, Arizona, San Fran (#31, #29, #26) = 26.75 pts per game

Point is...I don't think Manning cares what were ranked.

God I hate him...

We are going to need a solid offensive and ST's performance vs. the colts to help our defense.

We are 6-1 with McBean starting.

If we can collapse the pocket -- and if we get some sacks -- yes!!!!!!

Now is the time for Ayers to step up -=- and help Doom get to Manning.

Colts Running offense isnt much this year so the great Manning will be using his arm to beat us. We are already expecting that to happen so we have had a week of planning for it. This group and coaches are different than the many times we have faced them this decade. I am looking for much better results. We run it and keep him off the field, play tight defense and put the pass rush on to keep his timing plays out of wack. This doesnt guarantee any victory but I think we make a game of it to have the chance in the 4th Q to win it.
