The one loss might have been a win but Simms couldn't play at D.C.

the colts have only allowed 10 sacks all season... this is going to be really tough...

This is true. But from what I've read Colts fans actually feel that their offensive line is quite a bit weaker from previous years.

Add in the first pass rush we've had in years and maybe we can get him a time or two.

skewed stats, like everything. Player X will get more sacks when Opposing Team Y is throwing the ball more. Opposing Team Y will throw the ball more when they are down. Teams that are down lose.

Their line doesn't need to be stellar. They have so many quick timing routes, Manning just gets rid of the ball and it's usually right where it needs to be. In fact, he probably makes the line better then it really is. They are ranked last in rushing so it's not like they are studs up front.

A key is to get in the way of the Colts short passing game. Make Manning hold it a second or two longer and make him move out of the pocket. It sounds simple in principle, but the first team to do this in all four qtrs beats Indi.

It's simpler than that. Team Y does well when their Player, Player Z, does well.

Anyways, yeah, hitting Manning a bunch would be great.

This is a contract game. Elvis has had a great season, and has shown up against quality competition, for the most part. But, this is a game where he can prove he's worth top 10 money.

The knock on him in the past has been that he's had trouble against higher level competition in big games.

Here's a chance for him to make a major statement.

Man, that is a recipe for disaster against Manning. You take away the short passing game and Manning will take you apart in large chunks with the deep and intermediate routes. Most teams concede the short game and try and take away the home run he can make every play....

Denver was also 6-1 with McBean starting at LE -- before he was hurt.
