Dude played lights out durning the Giants game and no mention of him.

He played one of the best games from the safety position since Atwater.

If Dawkins doesn't play that game I think we lose.

Not to mention the players only meeting which he headed and his role in getting the team fired up.

The team just looked hungry and pissed off last night, I have a hard time thinking he wasn't a huge part of that.

He is propelling the defense much like he did down the stretch for the Eagles last year. The guy is all over the place and lays punishing hits on everyone who comes near him. And Nolan has done a good job keeping him away from the situations that expose his weakness which is playing in space.

Whats the deal with Ried giving the pregame speech before the game started... anyone else catch this??

It's like starting thread appreciating air. We take it for granted so that we don't even realize how lucky we are to have it.

Dawkins is a freak of emotional power and leadership. They way he prepares, then plays, is really just undeniable if your another player. You almost are forced to come up to his level of intensity just by being around him.

Eagle fans had a right to be upset by him being let go. It's a shame fans have to lose a guy like Dawkins to another team.

Maybe dawkins was running out of things to say. You can only say take it so many times before it's time to let someone fresh into the fracas.

Brian Dawkins' Awesomeness is implied in every thread ever made

However, Dawkins should hold a players meeting every week if this is how they play after!

Was it maybe just the special teams guys? Ried is definitely the leader of the STs.

Anyone else notice, Brian Dawkins never tackles people with his feet on the ground. He's always torpedoing someone.

I don't know I didn't notice it. Someone else said they thought it was DJ.

Still good to see Broncos snap the slide. Maybe they can win 3-4 more games and make a yr of this yet.

I love the way the old man deceats fools left and right. Then just to add insult he slams them with his forearm in the back as hes falling on them, anyone one else notice that. Steve Smith is feeling the pain right now as we speak. Damb where has he been all my life. He had me at hello..

Anyone have a video of the pregame speech? I'd like to see it again.

Why in the hell did Philly let this guy go again?

Cue Rasta and his it's all about showing the money bullshat......

Seriously though, he brought the Philly attitude with him and singlehandedly instilled it into this team. The Eagles haven't had it since and haven't been anything special after his departure.

He stole their soul and brought it to Denver. Cool........

it would become redundant to have a new weekly appreciation thread for Dawkins.
the only time a Dawkins thread seems to be necessary is in the case of injury or a rare bad game.

it can be just be implied that he played awesome every week unless a new thread pops up to say otherwise.

Dawkins is Ok, but he is no Marquand Manual....

I disagree, Thursday he playede such an exceptional game that if he did not play we lose that game. He was that important.

Josh bringing in Dawkins alone has to put McD on the list for Coach of the Year.

Huge impact on our D.....

I gotta give you guys props on that signing. The guy is amazing. He is everywhere. Just shows you how disruptive a game changing safety can be. There are only 4 or 5 guys in the league that can take over and influence a game like he does.

We haven't had a guy like that in SD since Harrison left.

Complete stud.

I started to sour on Shanny when he failed to take calls from Rodney Harrison who wanted to play in Denver. What a stupid move that was.

Though not as dumb as letting him go in the first place like Marty and AJ did. I guess you could chalk it up to rebuilding but both him and Seau proved they had plenty left in the tank.

Guess the Eagles have made the same kind of mistake.

I liked the comment Millen made during the broadcast that they hated playing against Dawkins but would love to have him on their team. I feel similarly as a fan: didn't like him on the Eagles, love the guy now.

I have been saying this since day one. As goes Dawkins, so go the Broncos.

People have tried to say that the team's MVP is McD or Orton or whoever, but Dawkins is the heart of the Broncos.

I just talked to a buddy of mine who's an Eagles season ticket holder. To give you an indication of how popular the guy was, and still is, here he told me that he sees a lot of Dawkins Broncos jerseys in the stands. Unbelievable.

Much of the credit for getting Dawkins has to go to Nolan. all of his Defenses hve a mean and nasty motivator to lead it....Ray the murderer Lewis in Baltimore, P Willis in SF just to name a few. You notice that Dawkins was about the first FA we signed.
I agree that he is the glue that made this team come together on the Defensive side!

A cheating over-the hill steriod addict who led the league in dirty hits? I can't figure out why Shanny didn't want him :bash:

I agree. IMO he is our MVP so far this year.
