Now that it looks like Notre Dame is going to fire him, does anyone think that he would be added to the staff to help the offense get off the ground? Should McDaniels hire him?

Emphatically yes. We need a true offensive coordinator.

Wasn't Mcdaniels still in his Graduate program when Weiss coached with the Patsy's or did they actually overlap for a year?

its hard for offenses to have more talent than ours, as far as number of really good players. sure we have some weaknesses, every team does, but its just a matter of this team getting better at what it does.

I am surprised McCoy or who ever our OC is doesn't get more heat around here.

Thanks, but I'll pass.

Probably because McD runs the offense. McCoy is basically his wingman.

Why?

DUDE... 10 points per game from our offense is WHY. Do you really have to ask?

Wingnut maybe... McCoy may be allowed to get McD's coffee, that's about it.

Yes but ... Josh will still want to call the plays. Not sure Charlie would like that.

Plus, I think Notre Dame owes him some money ... he might wanna do what Shanahan's doing: Sitting on a beach, earning twenty percent.

They overlapped some. Josh started calling the plays in 2005, after Charlie left, but didn't get the OC title 'til later.

The majority of Patriots fans don't even want him back.

He is not well liked anywhere, is he?

There was an article, maybe in SI a year or two ago about what an ass he is.

Weis will get a HC job why would he take a Coordinator position for a guy that used to work for him. But my money would be on him returning to NE.

Watch him go to Buffalo after Shanahan turns them down

I'd like to thank Charlie Weis for teaching me the basics of the system offensively that we've used for the last five seasons in New England and for also teaching me how to handle adversity, because anybody that has worked for or with Charlie knows that you are going to have to handle adversity.

I would say no.

No thanks, I'd be too afraid that his appetite would get the best of him and he would end up eating one of our smaller players. Not worth the risk!

Re-promote Dennison.

he's a figurehead. McDaniels is the one running the offense and calling the plays. can't fault someone for having no authority
