Perino: No Terrorist Attacks In America Under Bush (VIDEO)
Dana Perino, recently nominated by President Obama to the Broadcasting Board of Governors, made an odd claim Tuesday night.
On Fox News, the former press secretary suggested President Obama was playing politics by refusing to describe the massacre at Fort Hood as a terrorist attack. "We should call it what it is," she said.
"We did not have a terrorist attack on our country during President Bush's term," she told Sean Hannity. "I hope they're not looking at this politically. I do think that we owe it to the American people to call it what it is."
For those with memories as spotty as Perino's, President Bush took office on January 20, 2001. On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 people were killed in the U.S. in terrorist attacks coordinated by al-Qaeda. Five people were killed later that year in the anthrax attacks.

I honestly think both administrations dropped the ball on 911. There were things that Clinton and Bush could of done to prevent 911. To say who has the bigger blame is impossible to say as no one is unbiased on this issue.

This IS true...I won't debate that...but the statement he made was still false, even with that truth.

why, this sounds like somebody's taken raw data--facts, if you will--and attempted to present it to the public in a wholly untenable and outright fictitious manner in an attempt to forward a political agenda and to convince us all that pigs do fly, black is really white, and the moon is just the sun at night, . got any emails we can take a look at?

I think what Dana Perino is trying to say is that after 911, and the whole terrorism ordeal, no major terrorist attack on America was successful during Bush's term.
And why the hell would someone that was appointed by Obama want to make this look bad on Obama?

that's what I was thinking...it's just weird..
I saw the segment they clearly meant post-911 if they didn't specifically say it that way.

Exactly.
Funny - the first WTC bombing happened just a few weeks after Clinton took office, but you didn't hear Clinton blaming Poppy.
I guess the right's shpiel about "personal responsibility" is just as hypocritical and phony as their "family values" image.

They've definitely modeled their concept of truth around Orwell's "1984."
