Owner Of 'President Or Jihad' Billboard: Obama Is An 'Anti-Christian'

Last night, the man responsible for a billboard in Colorado that asks "President or Jihad?" appeared on MSNBC and explained his definition of "jihad."

"To me it means, it's an extreme element of a struggle to overcome somebody ... It's certainly not one of us. It's certainly not what an American is," said Phil Wolf, the owner of an auto dealership in Wheat Ridge, Colo., where he's posted the billboard.

"Do you think Obama wants a religious war?" asked host Ed Schultz.

"I think he is an anti-Christian," Wolf responded. When pressed, he said, "My statement up there on the sign has got a question mark behind it. And the question has to be answered."

Last week, the general manager of Wolf's dealership was similarly evasive when interviewed by TPM.

The billboard appeared last week, replacing one that asked simply, "Where is the birth certificate?" The original message, also paid for by Wolf, was supported by a local radio host and the right-wing site World Net Daily.

In features two caricatures of Obama, one wearing a turban, and in the bottom corner it reads, "Wake up America! Remember Ft. Hood!"

On MSNBC yesterday, Wolf -- who said he doesn't believe Obama is an American citizen -- criticized Obama's "cavalier attitude" toward the Fort Hood shooting and claimed the president has been "apologizing" for America.

"Obama's teling the world that we should be more tolerant, that we should be more like them, in other words," Wolf said.

Asked if he thinks tolerance of other cultures makes America weaker, Wolf said he believes it does.

Seriously, does this really surprise you? Ignorance of other cultures is the main reason for a lot of social ills in this country and where ever we inflict our globalization empire across the globe.

This guy just dreamed up a way to get his name in the news and have his 15 minutes of fame.

This is just the American way. After all, even Joe the Plumber, managed to get a book deal and rake in some dough for his 15 minutes of fame.

Nothing to see here. Move on.

At the very least, he's shown his ignorance, his racist views and he'll sell his overpriced trucks to the ignorant redneck righties who mirror his views but are afraid to come out an show their blatant racism.

LOL. Who cares?

Yep, no one cares when a righty questions the validity of a president who actually WON the election, yet those same people didn't care to question when a redneck from Texass steals the election/office.

The election was never stolen...good grief. Kerry and Gore got beat because they are losers.

But who cares what this guy has tosay? Because he put up a billboard? BEcause he's on Youtube? I just don't care.

I think the proper terminology, per WAGS, is 'tempest in a teapot'...

Hey, after what Cash 4 Clunkers did to the supply, demand, prices, and sales of autos in this country, a pimp's gotta get creative.

It's a matter of double standard. Had someone done this during Bushs' term, they'd have guaranteed themselves a visit from the "men in black".

This dillwads' actions are just written off as being a non issue.

He has the right to his opinion, but he also has the right to the backlash.

Speaking of rightard patriotism...

http://bartblog.bartcop.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/cartoon-coburns-shame.gif“Thirteen major military and veterans groups have joined forces to try to force one senator — Republican Tom Coburn of Oklahoma — to release a hold that he has placed on a major veterans benefits bill.

Coburn has been identified by Senate aides as the lawmaker preventing consideration of S 1963, the Veterans’ Caregiver and Omnibus Health Benefits Act of 2009, by using an informal but legal practice of putting a hold on a bill.”

– Rick Maze, “Coburn Named As Senator Holding Up Vets Bill,” (http://www.marinecorpstimes.com/news/2009/11/military_veteransbill_coburnhold_110309w/)Marine Corps Times, Nov. 3, 2009.

Finally, sanity prevailed in spite of the embarrassing Coburn…

“The U.S. Senate unanimously approved legislation Thursday to provide financial aid to caregivers of disabled veterans, ending a stand-off with Sen. Tom Coburn that drew national attention.” […]

“Coburn had objected for weeks to passing the bill using the Senate’s fast-track process, holding out for the opportunity to offer amendments.”
