That kid just blew up the RB like it was nobodies business, most vicious hit I have seen since DJ Williams dislodged Roy Williams lung.

Yeah. Did I just see the linebackers down in a 3 point stance? ???

Jim Bates would've had them in a 4 pt stance.

yeah, at that age, i assume they are just trying to assimilate them to the game. you know, learn to protect themselves and such. No real strategy I'd say. The sad part, they aren't teaching them more by the time they reach the upper levels.

thats what im saying is the kids arent really learning anything that translates to the game at all, i would imagine at that age its more for the parents than anyone.

I woudl rather learn to be hit at that young age then getting blindsided at 10 or 11....you learn to keep your head on a swivel out there and where people are goign to come from to hit you

you also learn the fundamentals:

- the gaps
- how to get a handoff
- how to look behind the line to see where the ball is going
- how to block legally
- how to tackle

you really do learn a lot....

My daughter plays softball at 5 years old, she's learning fundamentals of the game. Rather well actually. Why wouldn't you learn it in football?

#36 has the game figured out. All a defensive player has to do is find the ball and destroy whoever has it. He seems to be a man among boys- little boys.

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger.

I think whats missed here is that they knocked him out of bounds. He didn't even take the contact.... After he was done stiff arming kids, he ran out of bounds to stop the clock?;D

At least the kids are out running around and getting exercise instead of sitting indoors and playing video games.

That kid hits harder than anyone on Michigan's defense outside of Brandon Graham this year.

If I was that kid's dad, I would be livid. Those coaches need to protect those kids better than that. That's terrible.

For a lot of kids, no matter what the age or sport, it's more about the parents.

That truth will march on....Man, little league parent sucks, but at least their kids are getting some exercise....better than the kids I see buried in the DS.
