Honestly, isn't the elections the most "fun" part of politics?

Of course, these numbers mean absolutely nothing. The challengers have no negative press against them (sans Palin) and don't have the face recognition of the President (other than maybe Palin). And if you did this in 2005, obviously BHO wouldn't even be on the list - just to illustrate the point.

But this is like power rankings in the NFL, pointless, but can't be resisted...

From one of the best polling firms, imho.

And if unemployment stays over 10% for another year, those numbers will flip flop.

Yeah, there is no doubt that at some point Obama will be losing pretty badly - especially at the point in the process when they have only good press (high name recognition and low negative press).

These numbers obv mean sh_t, as they well when the flip at that point in time too.

But, good convo...

If there is any value in these numbers --- kinda like preseason football --- it's looking at who matches up better tho. Not straight forward tho, you have to take the variables into account (kinda like if a guy faces the 2nd string, but looks great).

Obama will continue to promise entitlements and defeceit reduction and a "green economy", yet the economy will continue in a funk.

He will will keep increasing "stimulus" while raising taxes as the GNP flatlines.

I remember when I first started posting in this forum of peeps that kept telling me Obama was politically dead. Happened in the primary and the general. Turned out neither was even that close.

Can we please not talk about the 2012 election until October 2012?

These people should be governing not running for relections during 70% of their terms.
