IF orton cant go next week, do we run the Wild Horses the full game with Buck and Moreno and maybe Royal back there?

Im looking for anything to keep the ball out of Simms hands.

Put Simms at TE so he can safely be tucked away on IR by quarter 2 of the game.

Buck cannot hold on to the ball. I don't remember seeing him in after his fumble which was just as bad as Simms INT. It would have been nice to get points off that drive.

I'm going with the assumption that this whole thread is a tongue in cheek joke built from frustration. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt on this one...

Something is wrong. I have never seen so much fumbling as I have recently. Knowshon will break out next week, and Orton will be back. Now owrries everyone, we might not win the AFC west, but hell, we are gonna sweep the Chargers!!!!!!!!!!

Get this terrible formation out of our play book.

I am tiring of Buckhalter's fumbles. It's not like he'd getting 20+ carries a game, so he is fumbling at a high rate compared to the number of carries he gets.

who the hell will be fooled by anything with Simms in

just defend the run and they win

Has it worked since the first half of the NE game?

It didn't even work that day. It was only a tip off after a few plays as to what the defense was doing.

I'm in agreement with you. It's one diminisonal they way they run it anyways and to date it hasn't produced much of anything. I'm sold, scrap it.

I say run the ball 40+ times, but not out of this formation. At least pretend you can pass.

Are you seriously gonna credit the Wild Horses formation for that?

Marshall bake there throwing the ball would be badass or maybe just bad who knows

Put McD in at QB.

Shoot, he's probably had about the same amount of time as Simms since his last meaningful start. (Ohio HS State Championship)

We've only used it a few times, and didn't we rip off a pretty nice run on one?

I like it, particularly if we had to stick a guy like Simms in there.

I like it only when the Qb lines up wide then motions to where he is supposed to be then they throw out of it.

The reason Wing's and goofy run formations haven't been used in 50 years is because unless you have Ronnie Brown it is easily stopped and you can get better YPC out of newer formations.

That said I like when teams line up in an old formation every now and then like Shanny did vs KFC when Portis took the ball to the house. The under prepped teams don't know where to line up or what is going on and you can get a broken play but then they are more gadgets than part of a playbook.

If you watched the Charger - Eagle game this past week, the Chargers ran their version of it a few times.

And Orton completed 100% of his passes when they started in that formation and shifted Orton back to QB. So, it did work, and it was effective. Not every play or formation is designed to neccessarily "work" on that particular down.
