Only the appropriate post-game quotes

The 49ers snapped their four-game losing streak thanks to Jay Cutler's five interceptions. And the 49ers needed every one of them. Michael Lewis' game-clinching pick came in the end zone on the final play of the game.

As the press corps was waiting in the tunnel outside the 49ers' locker room, George Devine Jr. of Fox Sports Radio was speaking with another reporter. He observed that Cutler had five interceptions and could've had two more because he "lollipopped" a couple of other passes.

Well, as luck would have it, Cutler was squeezing past Devine on his way to a post-game interview. Cutler heard the remark and suggested Devine do something that - to my knowledge - is anatomically impossible.

Here are a few quotes that are fit for print . . .

The rest of the article is here with no other mention of the incident. (http://blog.pressdemocrat.com/49ers/2009/11/only-the-appropriate-post-game-quotes.html)

Jay Cutler

"I have to apologize to the defense, and the offense as a whole has to apologize. They (the Bears' defense) played a great game. They kept us in there throughout all the turnovers."

Huh, what? The rest of the offense has to apologize? There's your leader, Chicago Bears...

What, did you think Cutler was actually going to take some responsibility for the first time in his career? It's always someone else's fault. Always.

I think all will agree, Jay has some growing up to do. Honestly, he just needs to shut his mouth and play. In the offseason, he needs to grind and get better. The time for him talking is done.

What an arm. He sure can zip 'em in there.

I heard from at least 4 49ers that they were really hard thrown when they caught it. So fast that the balls whiz through the air as it sounds like "Frzzzzzo" Slow it down a tad and it says, "Franchise".

I was thinking that last night after the game, just pull a Vick situation... If last nights game was at home....oh boy that could of gotten ugly for him.
