Higher 1st round pick please.

Chicago looks like a team on the brink of a total breakdown. Terrible o-line, defense looks lost, Harris losing his mind, injuries all over. Still, there are so many horrible teams this year that I wouldn't expect a pick in the top 10.

UberBroncoMan

I'd expect that too except the Bears actually have the one of the EASIEST schedules in the NFL. I believe they were ranked with the EASIEST in the ENTIRE NFL to start the season.

8-8 is actually possible... but I'm hoping for 6-10.

From visiting the Bears forum I've experienced seeing some of the most delusional and retarded fans I've ever witnessed... as bad as the Chargers... probably worse.

Yeah, though really they are through the easiest stretch. Look at this slate:

Nov. 12 at San Francisco, 7:20 p.m., NFL Network
Nov. 22 PHILADELPHIA, 7:20 p.m., Ch. 5
Nov. 29 at Minnesota, noon, Fox-32
Dec. 6 ST. LOUIS, noon, Fox-32
Dec. 13 GREEN BAY, noon, Fox-32
Dec. 20 at Baltimore, noon, Fox-32
Dec. 28 MINNESOTA, 7:30 p.m., ESPN
Jan. 3 at Detroit, noon, Fox-32

Rams and Lions are easy, but they'll be underdogs in every other game IMO. Those two Minny games could be ugly given Vikings D-line vs. Bears o-line.

They don't need a defense and O-Line.

They have TEH FRANCHISE QB!! :~ohyah!:

Disagree that it sucks all the time though, they've looked pretty decent most of the time when I've watched them. Harris gets injured for the Cincy game and the Bengals destroy them, now he's out here and the Cards are moving it just as easy.

Harris is a beast in the middle, without him they go from average to horrible.

He's their best player, takes all the double teams and still makes some plays.

None of their other DT's are any good, with Harris out the run defense is soft and they have no interior pass rush.

Again the defense has plenty of issues, but with a player like Harris in there you can cover up some of those issues. With him out, they can't stop anything.

yes, but a single defensive lineman is NOT the reason they lost by 5 TDs. thats an entire team breakdown, with our former QB contributing heavily to that loss. sure it may have made them lose worse, but a beating that bad is attributed to the coaches, players, gameplan, everything.

They weren't winning the Bengal game with Harris, I know, but the point is that the defense has gone to absolute epic levels of crap whenever he's been out of the game.

They actually look like us last year on defense today, miscues from the other team is really the only chance they have of getting off the field.

this year or when Cutler is no longer on the team? I went to church and my prayers were answered. there's alot of head coaching in the NFL these days based on trying not to lose as opposed to trying to win. same thing in MLB when it comes to handling pitching staffs. guys figure if they go by the book, they can't get fired if it doesn't work out. pulling players to prevent injury and playing a soft prevent defense are 2 of the most egregious examples. i can't imagine Lombardi doing either. or Bear Bryant. or Landry.

no. the difference between losing a game and losing a game that you led 34-7 in the 4th quarter as a result of INCOMPETENT head coaching decisions is the difference between night and day. of course, he's not going to lose his job if he snatches defeat from the jaws of victory today, but it's a huge red flag that the HC is a problem. and the Cardinals made the SB last year due to the most improbable scenario possible. let's not act as though this HC is the second coming of Don Shula or Bill Walsh.

are you serious. do you take everything literally? first of all, i didn't mention McD, so let's take that out of the conversation altogether. second of all, i explained that the HC for ARI is not going to get fired for losing. but he did 2 stupid things that he should not be absolved of. if you're looking to start bickering with somebody, go find Rasta and bicker with him.

1) don't be a douche
2) don't try to put words in my mouth
3) don't take things typed so literally especially after they've been clarified by additional postings

and yes, the HC of ARI is nothing special and if he found a way to lose after leading 34-7 in the 4th, then he damned well does deserve some heat on his seat. the NFL is a meritocracy. ARI saw how bad it could be when you stick with an incompetent HC long after he should have been fired (see Denny Green). i could care less about ARI. i could care less about their HC. but any coach who does something stupid and loses a game that they were leading 34-7 in the 4th shouldn't just get a pass for it with a shrug of the shoulders.

Shanahan will be coaching in Chi-Town or Dallas next year. And they'll be getting a lot better with him.

Why would the Bears get a lot better with him? Aging defense, an offense that needs more talent, and no first round pick. And I'm not sure Shanahan would tether himself to Jay Cutler again. He's got to be smarter than that.
