Well since so many are showing interest in my self- sufficient ranch as a place to ride out the storm I have decided to start a Survival Club. There is a one time entry fee of $5000 that gets you one acre home site with water, sound good?

If it were city water it would not be a good survival place. We have a well and the water is pumped using solar power.
BTW I really am inviting some friends that have similar concerns about our future as I do to be part of a small community on my land.
The irony is that baja is much more vulnerable down there in Mexico-way to the futures he predicts.
The odds of the Mexican government going postal are far far higher.

Hypothetical: If the **** really did hit the fan, what are the chances the Mexican government doesn't just send the Federales in to take everything and kick your ass out on the road? After all, you can't own the land, only lease it.

Well for one thing foreigners can own land in Mexico through a vehicle known as a Bank Trust. Secondly my land is remote and will be overlooked in times such as we are talking about, they will be too busy with other more pressing matters like anarchy. If such an event were to come about most of the carnage would take place in the first few months which I will easily survive, after that if we are left with a global Big Brother that relentlessly tightens the screws on it's remaining conquered peoples than that will be what it is and I will deal with that day when it comes. In the mean time I have a beautiful spot in nature that I love being in. Contrary to popular board belief I am not hiding out in Mexico. Life is good today!

It's government - mainly politicians, police and the army - are into the drugs trade up to their balls. Corruption is rampant. Their oil is running out, because PEMEX hasn't invested a dime in exploration and technology.
