View Full Version : Hey, Should I Buy U2 Tickets Tomorrow (Shockingly, Invesco/Season Ticket Related)

Was thinking about nabbing some with the season ticket holder waitlist presale and ebaying them.

Thoughts? U2 is going to sell Invesco out, right?

Its U2 so I would assume they have a chance to sell out. But thats a lot of tickets too. You have the seats and then there will be floor level seats too.

It might be worth it if you got close seats or floor, seeing as those will be the ones people might pay more for down the road. Not sure you'd get much back on the investment if you're buying upper deck.

Yeah all these things I'm trying to think about. Plus like was said above, that's a ton of people for a concert. Will ponder.

I went to the show in Dallas. It was good, but not great. Part of that problem though was that it was at the new Cowboys stadium which is just a little too big for a concert unless you're on the floor. Even reasonably close seats in the stands seem pretty far away. excellent viewing angles for a game though I would have to imagine.

blah....

Better, newer, music can be had cheaper and in a more fun setting. They're ok.

So overcharging for already overpriced tickets in this economy? You are the kind of guy Who sells his season tix to a Steelers fan to make a buck. But we already know you are the kind of guy who posts pictures of gay pornography on the Mane...

It must suck to be such a bitter human being.

But I will admit, the economy, will there be a market for tickets, etc, has entered my consideration.

Reading is fundamental! I don't want to see U2, I want to sell the tickets and make a tidy profit!

Too bad Muse isn't opening for them any more. It's rare you see the opening act being th better band. I would go just to see Muse.

I see no dishonor in this at all, flip them. I would.

dont let OOJack come back here and whip you. I think you missed it though as I, a season ticket holder, got my tickets presale today! Two tickets Section 109 for $98 plus ticketmaster charges which made it $456 total. Ok, maybe not but presale just passed. I got these so if I dont get the Anaheim Stadium ones tomorrow, I am making a June visit to Denver. Only major band I have not seen in concert that I would do so before they turn older than the Rolling Stones (who I saw for the only time almost 7 years ago). U2 are one of the few bands that have made great music for 3 decades and make their own music. Funny how some of you think your opinion outways 100,000 that saw them play in the Rose Bowl last week. That is just one venue!

WHY? U2 has sucked since the mid 90s when Bono turned into a douche

Well I think there must be multiple presales, because I'm not a season ticket holder, I'm on the waitlist. The e-mail I got for people on the season ticket waitlist is today (wednesday) at 10 am.

Thanks for the info though, I may try this.

You won't need them, I've seen the show 3 times so far and it's incredible!

The stage set up and video screen are amazing! The sound will also be incredible in an outside venue like Invesco!

I felt that way too - didn't even bother to preview any of their albums until a friend suggested I seriously consider All That You Can't Leave Behind. It, and the albums that have followed, have all been on par with the Joshua Tree in my opinion.

They didn't sell out their Gillette shows. Ticketmaster had great seats still available the day of the show. They were almost $300 each, though, so chances of flipping them in this economy for any sort of profit weren't good.

No shiate. The Broncos e-mailed me with an offer for a VIP package for $523 PP. Who the **** in their right mind would pay that kind of mula to see U-2.

........plus, I gotta save up for Playoff tix.;D

Just picked up 2 for Angels Stadium in Anaheim. Better than the ones I got in Denver. 129 Row C which is near the edge (pun intended) of their "arm" stage. I think each arm is connected by a pathway so hopefully Bono comes out and sings to those in the seats and not just $250 general admission. I have heard from guys that went and havent owned any U2 stuff since the 80s and they said it was one hell of a show. Old to New was played. I like their last two albums so I can go with stuff back from War to current. I am In like Flynn.

plus, what can they offer pre-concert that you, TGN, cant do better in lot C? Good thing is that they had tickets as low as $33. I got two for my cousin in Anaheim for $55 each and they are Club level, 2nd row and 2 sections from the $98 seats. That is at least affordable.

Well I decided to give it a go. Got a pair in the $98 level. Lower level tix, I forget the section and don't feel like opening up my e-mail. We shall see how it turns out.
