I haven't been buying into the notion that Knowshon's fumbles are going to be an issue. But because I'm totally cool and had spare time, I crunched some numbers just to see how often he's fumbling. The number was a little higher than I was hoping for, but the results were lols, so I'll share:
The results are fumbles per touch (rushes and catches) expressed as a percentage (for runningbacks): (I did this waiting for the Monday nighter tonight, so Michael Turner's number could change)
McFadden 7.41
Slaton 5.04
Beanie 4.92
M. Turner 3.31
W. Parker 3.08
Hightower 2.94
Buckhalter 2.74
Knokno 2.5
Mendenhall 2.33
Stewart 2.33
Forte 2.11
Bradshaw 2.08
I probably could have left McFadden out, because he only has 47 carries, but it made me laugh so I left him in :) Also, without the suicide pass and subsequent beheading by Ed Reed, Knowshon's number falls to 1.68. For those homers like me who are still debating whether he made a football move.
Anyways, just thought I'd share, because math is cool, and the Raiders are laughable.
