Share Surely many of you collected baseball cards and football cards as kids. Maybe you still do now, who knows?

For a few years, my brother and I were big into card collecting (and I was always the only girl at the card shops), but never would I have imagined trying to track down a high school football card.

Mostly because here in Colorado, where I grew up, they just didn’t make them for high school players.

But where Broncos coach Josh McDaniels grew up, in Canton, Ohio, high school football is serious business, so serious that the All-Star players got their own football cards.

Now McDaniels’ card, from 1995, has increased in value by 3,500 percent in the past nine months, according to the card collecting blog, blogbeckett.wordpress.com. According to the site, the card recently sold for $26.

McDaniels was asked about that card today at Dove Valley, and laughed.

“Somebody told me that. I don’t know if I have it. I might. I remember it,” McDaniels said. “I don’t have it at my house. My mom and dad might have it.”

Well, if McDaniels’ hot streak continues, Thom and Christine McDaniels might want to track that card down and put it somewhere safe. Consider it a wise future investment.

I want this card as my avatar!

I love John Cameron movies but I think he's finally and literally hit the iceberg with that film.
