You shouldn't be with the fact that Baltimore is the VD capital of the US.

On a related note, upon reading this, Dawkins flew to Baltimore, got his gear on, and will be doing push ups on the field until Sunday. It was that, or explode.

Preston is a donut eating douchebag. he had a bug up his ass about Billick and spent years trying to get him run out of town. he's not well-respected by Baltimore sports fans. they consider him a hack.

He's talking about past games where Denver has folded against the Ravens. Evidently he's picked us before to beat them and we let him down. He calls this Raven team smash mouth and unlike any other team we've faced. Another guy who picks the Ravens because they are desperate. Flawed logic IMO.

This guy is a sportswriter? Sounds like they interviewed some Fat Homeless guy--and in Baltimore there are plenty of those.

The Broncos are soft and will fold?

Then he goes on to describe a 'hard fought' game that the Ravens will win by 3 because their backs are against the wall.....unless the Ravens can't stop Denver's short passing game.

He's got all the bases covered. 8')

Anyone see the comment that suggests the Ravens will "take advantage" of Denver's secondary? His reasoning is that that Dawkins is "ailing" and Champ is still great, but they've had success against him before.

As usual, I'm hoping their gameplan is to try to take advantage of Champ.

I'm a little worried about the Ravens being bigger but I think Broncos can make plays in the passing game. I don't however see us running alot inside on them.

I think on defense Broncos won'thave much respect for the Raven WR. Look for plenty of safety run blitzes on the early down like we have done all yr.

Champ has personally owned the Ravens. What is he talking about?

Ravens gave up back to back 100 yard rushing games and its the Broncos who are soft...ok.

When you win close games people don't fear you. Broncos are 6-0 but Cincy lost on a huge fluke play, Dallas could have tied game last play, NE could have went either way had they made a big play etc.

So teams will think we can be beaten. Broncos IMO winning because the coaching is so good not because our guys push people around.

We are holding the edge better with Mcbean/Peterson/Holliday/Haggan And we are stouter up the gut with Feilds but none of those guys really push people around. They more hold there ground and let DJ/Doom get off.

On the oline Clady/Graham/Kuper do sometimes push people around. Harris sometimes as well. But Ravens will have that edge inside sort of like how NE did with Wilfork. Ngata is stout.

The gameplan will be good. Broncos will be rested and ready to go.

we have played what 2 games against the ravens with champ on our team.

we beat them both times and champ had an interception in both games.

even better, Baltimore has scored a total of 13 points in those two games combined. I hope the trend continues.

mike mike mike the broncos got too much offensive talent you simply don't have the personel to compete i give your d 1 quarter before they start getting exposed. Your o just doesn't have it heck they are not even as good as the pats or the cowboys and you saw what our d did to those guys and for some reason you think flacco is going to be productive? I really don't see it since flacco will be on his back.

Come on Mike, this sounds an awful lot like your prediction that the Ravens would beat the Begals by at least 2 touchdowns. Please don't get in the habit of taking NFL teams too lightly. When you do you get your butt handed to you , remember?

Someone owned him hard there lol

Well, the Ravens already played Minnesota, where it was purple on purple crime.

Meanwhile, someone contact the Broncos and inform them it's over. There's no hope, so why even show up?

3-0
3-1
3-2
3-3 (and pending)

Yes, every reason to be terrified.

Again, I have no problems with people wanting to have a different opinion but you have to base it on a few things. First off, your information has to be credible. Calling Denver soft because their defense was soft over the past few years and they let him down has NOTHING to do with the team or defense this year. If you want to say Denver hasn't faced a smash mouth team quite like the Ravens then okay, that's fine, that's his opinion. But don't lie to the public and say Denver hasn't played ANY smash mouth teams. The last time I checked The Pats beat the Ravens so I guess if (according to him) the Ravens are a great smash mouth team, then the Pats have to be better.

..........and for godsakes, if I see one more frickin nutjob picking a team to win because they are in a "must win" situation will frickin puke. I wish people in the media could get over that lame ass term.

There is no such thing as a "must win" game in October/November.

there is this year if your team is the Raiders or Chiefs.

This is one of the things I like about Josh and that he prepares so well for EVERY game. He doesn't allow his team to be fooled into that crap about this game is more important or that game is a must win game. He has the Broncos believing that EVERY game is important. He may not win every game but I highly doubt the Broncos go into any game this year and just get worked. That's why they say if you prepare hard and play smart, you give yourself a chance. Knowing that sometimes the good luck bounce can go your way or against you but you will be "IN" the game. If you do that over 16 games, I think you put yourself in a good situation to win a good number of them.

found this, made me lol

http://tailgate365.com/ravens/2009/10/reasoning-flaws-in-mike-prestons-analysis/

Today on Ravens Insider, there is a post where Mike Preston gives his opinion regarding Sunday’s matchup between the Ravens and the Broncos (http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/blog/2009/10/mike_preston_calling_broncos_soft_picks_ravens_to_ win.html). The headline reads, “Mike Preston, calling Broncos soft, picks Ravens to win.”

Idiot.

Really? A team that is 6-0 with wins over Dallas, New England and San Diego is by no means soft, in any sense of the word.

Let’s examine Preston’s logic in his video spiel.

“I am picking the Ravens to win…I have always liked Denver in the past, but whenever I picked them, they turned out to be Mr. Softy.”

Conclusion of the argument: Ravens win
Evidence: When big Mike picks the Broncos to win, they play soft.
Assumption on which the argument depends: There is a direct correlation to Preston’s picks and Denver playng soft.

So in turn, Preston picks the Ravens to win, makes sense right?

“The Ravens are desperate for a win they have lost three in a row, they are in a crucial stretch right now where they have to win games…when their backs are against the wall the Ravens respond. What we’ll see is a team that is desperate…”

Conclusion: The Ravens are desperate and will respond.
Evidence: Because they have lost three games in a row and are in a critical stretch right now.
Assumption on which the argument depends: Keeping in mind the overall theme of Preston’s video is the Ravens will win, because the Ravens are desperate, they will win.

Really? If you follow Preston’s logic, these are the only reasons why the Ravens will win. Not because they had a bye week to prepare and make changes in the secondary, or maybe because Jared Gaither returns and Flacco won’t have ankles stepped on, or maybe just maybe Preston is an idiot and cannot follow his own logic.

He assumes that past experiences of picking the Broncos and the result being that they play soft are related (but let’s just block out the last time Denver played Baltimore, Denver won 13-3). Fine. So, Preston picks Baltimore to win.

Logically follow this argument here…

Preston picks Denver —> Denver plays soft

Denver does NOT play soft —-> Preston did NOT pick Denver

Way to screw us Mike, you better be right because logically, you’re wrong.
