I don't think he's that bad. I find it fascinating that so many people think virtually all the announcers "ruin the game" for them when I find most of them to be alright.

Here are some color analysts I don't just not mind, but think are pretty good that Bronco fans seem hate:

Phil Simms: Bronco fans just hate him because of Super Bowl XXI. I think he's alright and pretty objective.

Rich Gannon: He knows how to play QB and points it out. Bronco fans hate him because he's a Raider and are overly paranoid about every comment he makes.

Troy Aikman: See above. He also never gets overly excited about anything.

And Dierdorf doesn't make my list, but I think he's pretty good and can be funny.

The only guy I can't stand is Randy Cross. That guy openly roots against us for whatever reason and his greasy hair and occasional garbage mustache makes him look despicable.

Phil Simms is the best. I agree about Cross. That guy has some problem with the Broncos.

Aikman ain't bad unless he's doing a Cowgirls game and then it gets damn annoying.

I know he's not a CBS guy, but any time we talk about announcers I gotta repeat I hate Chris Collinsworth.

And I really gotta say, I like the ESPN MNF guys...there's actually chemistry and its fun to listen to what Jaws and Chucky have to say. Sometimes I think I should be taking notes so if I want to coach I have a start.

I'll be at the game so I won't have to listen to Dierdorf but I don't have any problem with him.

The only guys I don't like in the booth are Cross for his aforementioned Bronco-hate and Aikman when the Cowboys are playing.

Gruden on Monday Night is starting to wear on me

I think he's awesome. He's pretty fair and has a clear and fresh understanding of the game. Jaws is the one that's starting to wear on me. He and Hoge on NFL matchup are unbearable. They are too busy making car race noises when they speak to even understand what they're talking about. If you close your eyes, it sounds like gay porn.

"If...if the...the quarterback throws the ball....an...and it's caught in the endzone...then, then...then that's a... a... a touchdown."

To get back to the original question, no I've never sync'ed up KOA but I don't care. I'd rather listen to Dave Logan out of sync than listen to network numbskulls. The only thing about Dave that pisses me off, is he forgets to tell you down and distance, but if you're watching the game while listening, problem solved.

Everything is so amazing to him ... every guy that makes a good play is "taking over the game."

Gruden has good skills and he'll develop, but right now he's so hyperbolic about any little thing.

He went on and on last week about how our offensive line has "been together so long (that) they are taking over this game." :oyvey:

He was humbled and mellowed after being bounced from that broadcast. What a journey.

I like Dan Dierdorf. I like his analysis and his color during the games. I go so far as to DVR the games when I'm in Denver attending because I like to hear how Dierdorf analyzed the play. Besides Simms, maybe the best announcer for CBS in my opinion and a couple of universes better than Chris Collingsworth on the MNF crew (now Sunday night, but same concept).

Gruden is brand new to the booth, and besides his over-use of the term 'outstanding', I'm not sure you could ask for better insight into the thinking of caches along the sidelines. Pretty remarkable performance from a guy who has never done this before. 'Outstanding' even.
