How can they afford cable?
I have been laid off 4 times since I started working in 1998. Cable TV is the first thing to go.

Who knows. Many can still find money to buy cigarettes.
Does jounalism really get any worse than Anderson Cooper?
Still love that time he faked crying while covering Hurricane Katrina.

FOX offers the only alternative viewpoint in the American TV media world.
Its no wonder why they are so popular.

Journalism is dead.
Yep. Ever since Rupert Murdoch stepped ashore.
Yeah. The fascist view. Ha!
Facists overtake and manipulate whole swaths of industry for their own purposes and have school children sing about their leader and make him a subject of idoltry and unquestioned praise. This sounds like the current Democratic position not Fox's.

Regarding the manipulation of industry, just who is the manipulator and who the manipulatee? Judging by what is going on in Washington these days, I'm pretty much convinced we live in the first corporate oligarchy. Get out there and consume, folks. Because that is now your only value.
And I guess when that teacher had those kids sing a song for the president, I'm sure that's the first time that's ever happened. Yep. No doubt about it. ;D

CNN needs to put Ted Turner back in charge. At least he knew what he was doing.

Agreed. That is what you get when government tries to run business instead of simply employing more intelligent regulation and business-friendly tax policies.

I'm afraid you missed the point. It is business running the government.

Hence the term "idiot box" in lieu of "TV"
Yeah. The fascist view. Ha!
Dont worry, CNN will be bailed out, and any other friendly "news source." And when bailed out, we will really get the news "we [the government] can trust."
I'm afraid you missed the point. It is business running the government.
Dont worry commie, soon you and big brother will control it all. GM, banks, healthcare, next up the media -- I am mean we cant let Fox continue speaking, that would be un-American...

Is there anything you wont do for your party?
I'm afraid you missed the point. It is business running the government.
Fully got your point. The only reason businesses like GE and the auto companies are becoming inseparable parts of the government is because the government wants it that way.
The breaking down of the Chinese wall between governement and business in this country will lead to to big problems for our economy I am quite certain.

Big Brother is already running the show, fool. You're just too blind to see it. Go ahead and keep sucking in the Fox noise until your skull is empty.

Not all of it -- no, not yet. They (big coorperations merged with government) assume too much -- until the dollar popps the middle class can have a big impact. You can, and should fight it then. If you think that Big Brother is bad, that it is too big and intrusive and entangled with international business then fight it in the Dem party --you can be more effective than me on that front. Likewise, conservatives need to wake up to how dangerous it is to combine big business and big government -- and how someone like McCain would be bad news for all of us....
Nothing will get better if we assume we can do nothing.
I will also add, that if you say communist-light things, I have no choice but to try to call you on it. IF I say something you think makes me a fool, then I am a harmless fool as I am usually not inclined to force the majority into living my life-style. I want limited government -- so even if I am "right wing" (which I am not based on my social views) fine --but I will not be limit your vioce, your choice, your vote, or your ability to listen to MSNBC or NPR -- you want to smoke Pot go ahead, you want to eat a veggie burger -- have at it. But many on the left seem willing to use ever more power to force us to think like them. The right did it, now the left does it -- both are wrong.

Ha ha ha! Ha!
Are you talking about the same people who defended Bush?
From what I've seen, they are still loyal cheerleaders for the ultimate merger of corporate interests and government power..
Witness the health care debate, if you need an example.
Most neocons who post here are little more than tools and propaganda mouthpieces for the insurance industry.

So what do you have against Ronald Reagan anyway?
