View Full Version : Favorite moment of the season through game 6

I know there's been a lot but it's the bye week and I thought we'd rehash some great moments.

My favorite is Jason Garrett and Tony Romo challenging Bailey not once but twice in a row with the game on the line. Epic Fail.

Bailey with his injuries had become a little bit of an underdog and it was great seeing him in his usual HOF form.

Remember the time Bobby Boucher....

I have to say the immaculate deflection & BMarsh vs. the Cowboys.

In a season where I expected nothing... I've been rewarded time and time again with awesomeness....

But, probably still my favorite moment was the tipped pass to Stokley and the ensuing TD. Next was listening to the north stands early awarness that the game winner over NE was going to be good. Could not tell from my angle for another .5 seconds.

its too hard, but I would say either pumling Rivers to the ground, or Romo throwing at champ 2 times with the game on the line/

Sacking Rivers 5 times (a first for him) and burying the Chargers 3.5 games back is up there. But so is Bailey's sweet pick against Dallas, or any tackle by Dawkins where he leaps at the ball carrier.

McDaniels excited fist pumps to the crowd after the New England game....I liked the show of emotion and him letting his guard down for the fans.

It was an un-Belichick display of emotion and really won me over.

I have to go with this as my single favorite moment this season. I was so goddamn pumped, this combined with the crowd going crazy, etc., I was going crazy.

As for the best thing this season, sacking rivers 5 times. About time knocked the hell out of that guy and shut him up.

B Marsh play since I watched that one live. just insane effort and big win over a solid team.

98 yard TD drive.

All the other things mentioned were great, but when the team went 98 yards for a TD when we absolutely had to have it against NE, I knew right then, this team was going to the playoffs.

Has to be the moment I realized why the players had been saying they believe in McD.: Third quarter of Cinci game. Ray Malaluga is starting to fire up his team by making some huge hits. One of them was on Moreno (took him out of the game). McD calls four plays in a row to Daniel Graham over the middle. Each play you can see Graham seek out Malaluga to deliver a blow...... I knew this was going to be a fun season at that point

Seems like I get a new one each week. The deflection was amazing, B-Marsh coming alive the past few weeks and the big 51 yard TD play in particular, beating New England, then beating San Diego. In general, just seeing Brian Dawkins in a Broncos uniform and for the first time since I can remember, including the super bowl years, we have a tough, physical, aggressive, scary defense. Still lots of things to be worked out on offense, though we have looked better each week. But man, good defense is fun to watch. I have always been envious of Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Philadelphia, the teams that have perennially good defenses. This season so far I have not had to be

My favorite moment was the look on Rivers' face when he got up from being sacked -- again -- in the 4th quarter. He looked more than a little confused, shaking his head, pointing to and calling out his linemen. That was about the time he started running scared from the pocket. I loved every second of it.

If I had to go with one, then probably the deflection to Stokely.

Runner's up:

Marshall TD run against Dallas.
98 yard TD drive against NE.

This might sound weird, but for me it was when they came running out on the field in the brown and gold and stripes ... on that overcast Invesco day against NE.

Dunno why, but I really loved that moment.

Glad I wasn't the only one! We may need to start a pole of how many of us were doing calling the bolts bitches.

Three moments this year. I think how we just kept blizting and hitting phyllis over and over again was my favorite moment so far just because of the built up hatered and frustration. Next would be Josh's fist pump after NE and last but not least the tip against the bengals.

Every week except against Cleveland has had some pretty great moments. What a year and its only been six games!!!! I love this team

Rivers face after the lose.

You guys catch Rivers' post game comments? He gave mad respect to Denver. Something to the effect of
"This team will not quit, not these guys."

The implication was that last years team was soft and not respected by Rivers

You're right. That was memorable. The raiders game was memorable for Doom as well. When Logan said 'that was like a terrier jumping on a water buffalo' when he sacked russel. Too funny

in all fairness, we should say what was our second greatest moment...

thats how impactful and amazing that Stokley play was...

if it weren't for that play, who knows how things would've turned out...after leading that game for 59 minutes, it would've really taken the wind out our sail to lose...

we needed to open the season with a win, to immediately remedy the unbelievable offseason we had...

i'm so happy for that play...

the single biggest play for this franchise in the last 10yrs...and who knows?...maybe even bigger than that...

You're right. Without that play are we 5-1 or 2-4? I honestly don't know. I would say 2-4 but this team has the heart of lion. They have came back from being down all season why would this be any different?

It goes back to the old Bills argument that if Norwood makes that field goal are the Bills 4-0 in Super Bowls? Or maybe at least 2-2 anyway

There are defining plays and if we go anywhere this season this is going to be one of them. It's already being called the Immaculate Deflection LOL.

I think this is going to be a season for the ages and I plan on savoring every moment of it.

Favourite play:

DJ Williams doing onto Roy Willims what god did onto the sodomites, just biblical. When was the last time we played that physical on D? (I am thinking Lynch knocking the sense and a lot of other things out of Dallas Clark)

Favourite situation:

Beating the **** out of the Chuggers in Sandy Eggo.

Honorable mentions:

Brandon Marshall making the Cowboys look stupid.
The "just the tip" play.
The hug.
Kyle Orton out Tom Bradying Tom Brady.
Champ knocking down the 4th down pass against Dallas.
Eddie Royal taking it to the house twice on returns.
Mcdaniels pumping up the crowd after NE win.

I have a six way tie with the clock showing 00:00 and we had the bigger score than our foe. One moment before the end would have to be the tip. No one in the bar I was at left and stayed to the glorious end. That was huge and started our great season nicely.

Beating the Chargers in San Diego.

Looking at the schedule after the first couple weeks, I could see W's vs Dallas and New England because they were home games. But San Diego at their house, coming off a bye, I thought it was going to be a loss.

My favorite moment so far is easy, I remember the date.

The Broncos vs Chargers pre-game scuffle made me realize something. In that brief footage I saw something I haven't seen in several years. "The days of you owning us are done."

Made possible by events that occured on the eve of a New Year, and a New Era.
