This is my play - I call it "27 Fake Option 28"

Orton is lined up wide, while Moreno is shotgun with Buckhalter next to him. Moreno takes the snap and runs a wide sweep, then pitches to Orton who never went out in a route, but instead dropped back. Marshall and Shef are lined up on same side as Orton (trips) and are a passing decoy. Actually, they are there because of their size to form a small passing pocket for Orton. Moreno has inside blocking once the pitch to help with DE if Clady can't get outside angle or in case of a LB lined up outside on that play. You still have 2 CB's who were on Shef and BM being blocked near LOS. Royal is set up wide on the other side and runs a flat out straight down the side line fly route, taking a CB and getting the attention of the safety lined up on that side. The other safety will be on the other side watching the run come to his side and also staying put because he's not sure if BM or Shef will go out into a route.

Here's the playmaker - Bucky was lead blocker for Moreno only he cuts up through the line as Moreno takes it wide. The LB's initial look as they see the snap to Moreno will be run and they won't be worried about covering Bucky as he's going through the line. He turns his route to the flats (20 yards deep) on Royal's side.

NOBODY will be over there, I guarantee it. This turns into a huge play for Bucky. It's actually a fast hitting play. By the time Moreno pitches it to Orton, Bucky will be getting through the line and past the LB's. Once they see the pitch, Bucky will have the advantage and spacing he needs. The blockers won't have to wait long. Orton should be able to throw that pass almost as soon as he receives the pitch, 3 to 4 seconds setup at most.

I wish Josh would run it :strong:

You should put this on your resume and turn it into the FO.

If Madden10 had custom plays I would try this...

I would like to see a variation where Orton begins to come in motion, whereupon the defense is almost certain to expect him to take the snap once he makes it under center, but before he gets to the center the ball is snapped to Moreno.

Not a play likely to result in a 90 yard TD, but something that would get some yardage I think. Every defensive player in the league going up against the Broncos is going to mentally relax when they see Orton coming in motion, thinking there's not going to be any action on the play until Orton gets under center.

Something to save until we really need it. I think that would be a decent little trick. Would be fun to watch and give them something to think about even if it didn't work.

Josh got away with a few illegal formations on Sunday...I think they'll be watching this from now on.

The one safety you have in no mans land would actually come right up to the LOS by Marshall Royal Orton. He would crash your whole play up.

Also the dline would prob shift to the side you had the blocker on, Bucky I guess it is. You have them shifted to the weak side which probably wouldnt happen if with the trips.

Also the deep safety would not shade the right. They would conceed 1-1 with the lone outside WR because they would doubt Morenos ability to throw it to him.

Obviously the right defensive formation would need to be present or they would option out of this. I was just putting the green O's to line them up in some sort of defense. As for the offense, then just put Bucky to the other side of Moreno and then you have your strong side. It could work.

Wildhorses, wildcat. I call it the old Single Wing . . .

Just like the Shotgun in the 1950s-early 60s in San Francisco, everything comes back (like the shotgun in Dallas 1975 with Staubach!) . . .

trick plays are for suckers generally. Most of the time they don't work, you just remember the ones that do.

I wouldn't mind a flea flicker now and then.

Snap to Moreno, who immediately hits Orton with a screen pass.

Kyle then jukes the CB out of his shoes and takes it the distance for a TD.

I'd like to see a double reverse, Moreno to Orton to Eddie. Fire Marshall up the side to keep the safeties deep and worry about Orton heaving it after the first toss. Change in personel Hillis instead of Buckhalter. I would love to see Royals speed behind a blocking wedge of Hillis, Shef, and Moreno, going against CB's. When Quinn is ready we could sub him in in place of Tony.

Kyle "Runs Like a Baby Giraffe" Orton?

Nonsense.

Another play?

Near the goalline.

Instead of Orton going in motion, Marshall comes in motion and lines up behind center. He takes the snap, and quickly throws a fade to Orton, who uses his height and general unstoppable nature to come down with a TD in the back of the endzone.

I call this one, "Flip TE weak 18 screen".

25211

Moreno takes the snap with Scheffler and Orton wide left and Marshall and Royal wide right. Marshall runs a post route and Royal runs a go down the sideline. Scheffler runs downfield about 10 yards then blocks the CB or safety. Graham is lined up on the left end and blocks wide to pick up the CB or OLB, Clady and Hamilton both get off their blocks quickly and go wide to seal off the LB and DE.

Orton runs backwards about 5 yards and takes a pitch from Moreno who goes for the cut block if the MLB or DT is able to disengage, this sets up a deep pass to Marshall down the middle or Scheffler down the near sideline if the play sets up right he can disengage and go.

So, Orton gets the pass AFTER he kicks the defender in the nuts? Or, is it after he uses a Wheelchair to get to the endzone?
