View Full Version : Raiders for sale!

HEAV

I was listening to "MYERS AND HARTMAN" on fox sports radio.

One of the talking heads "Petros Papadakis" on the show said word on the street is that the Raiders are open to any trade offers before the deadline which is Oct 20.

Basically he called it a fire sale.

Petros also was bagging on Josh McDaniels for celebrating the win yesterday. Total F'kn tool Petos is...incase you don't know him he's the host of Pros vs Joes...

------

Anyway back on topic. So beside Nomdi is there any other Faider worth trading for?

I heard today that they have one of the highest (it might have been the highest) salaries in the NFL. That can't make things easy.

We should offer them a 2nd round pick for Seymore.

Dont scare me with the thread title..... I though Al had come to his senses and was going to sell the team!

I'd take Seymore, Huff and Nomdi

Seymour and Doom on the the same line could be interesting. ;D

I really can't think of any other player, beside Nomdi that I would want of that roster.

Killericon
10-12-2009, 04:40 PM
Other than Nnamdi and Seymour...I'm having a real hard time thinking of anyone I'd want from that roster.

OH!

Shane Lechler for a 5th. Hellz. Yeah.

I opened this thread thinking Davis was selling the team and got really scared.

Petros is a freekin POS to the highest degree. I turn off the station everytime he opens his piehole

Lechler is their MVP for the last 10 years, he might be worth a late round pick.

whats wrong with mcdaniels celebrating i find that refreshing and nice instead of the stoic faced coach who sits there like a stone statue

He can't anchor the O-line all by himself (and wouldn't have to in Denver)...but Robert Gallery would be worth considering...

Petros later admitting that he was just talking smack to get under Chris Myers skin, who was speaking favorably of McDaniels.

I dont want anyone of them to be honest.

While there is some talent (Nmandi, Seymore, Lechler and even Gallery as mentioned) talent can **** with team chemistry right now and Id rather have the team chemistry.

Fixed it for ya ;) they fired his stupid ass earlier this year...I only know that cuz I heard him bitch and complain for an entire segment about it...

The Raiders won't be interested in trading any of their good players, which makes this thread a joke. Fire sale maybe, but only for the crappy players. Who the hell wants to take any of the crappy players?

Lechler is pretty much the only thing they have which I have been envious of for years. Guy has been the best punter in the NFL for years now.

I'll take Darrius Heyward Bey. Driveway's not gonna shovel itself this winter and the kid's quick.

Tommy Howard so that we can dump Woodyard. There may not be a better cover LB in the game and Martindale is accustomed to him.

Raiders fans talking about it...

Pretty funny. Actually a few sensible sounding fans there, which is more shocking than funny.

Nmandi is being wasted on a bad team. Much like Champ was with the Redskins in his early years...

Seymore is a bit of a prick, but he is a dominant player at times, and would probably fall right in line in order to get the hell out of Oakland. Dawkins, Champ, and the rest of the exPats would be helpful in that regard as well

those teams were .500, the definition of average

you don't understand what the word 'bad' means, I will spare the patronization and not link to dictionary.com

Only difference is Nnamdi chose to resign with the Raiders when he could have tested FA and gone somewhere competitive.

It's his own damn fault.

(I believe he couldn't be franchise tagged again - if I'm wrong then sucks to be him)

It's hard to imagine that we actually lost a game to those jokers last season.

I'd say the greatest collapse in NFL history qualifies that 08 team for the bad label by anyone's definition.

My standard is playoffs I don't care what your dictionary says a bad team is.

If I'm Champ i am feeling like I have been on a bad team for 3 years.

And Petos, the majority of the media is calling Josh McDaniels celebration yesterday a breath of fresh air. You're just stale dude.

without reading page 2, I heard the episode and I think he was talking out of his a$$ as I believe he was full of it. I dont think it is a story just an opinion between 3 or 4 talking heads.

We cant afford it. Hell we might not be able to afford some players coming up for contracts THIS year

Dumervil.

Marshall.

Orton.

Scheffler.

Kuper.

Thats gonna be a lot of money were gonna be spending trying to keep these guys.

They have a lot of players that could be interesting role players on ANY team, let alone ours. Their DBs and WRs are obviously stocked with speed: Higgins in particular would give us a dangerous element in the return game. Someone else mentioned him too, but Huff could be an interesting gamble, but much less worthwhile without significant ST contribution.

Surprised to see Oskie wanting to dump Woodyard, but I do agree with his premise that some of the Oakland LBs would be interesting additions under Martindale.

I don't care if Bichard Seymore has talent, keep ass clowns like him way the f*** out of Denver please. Same sentiment I had for Igor Olshanksy, back when some people were throwing his name around.
