Deadspin just force fed it to him. Perhaps nobody in the media was a more over-the-top dick about this Broncos offseason than Reilly, so this made me laugh.

where is that thread where "unnamed sources" backed up Cutler and not Bowlen/McDaniels? All those that loved the Culter (yes, culter) and swore Reilly had no beef against the Broncos.

I have to admit that deadspin is rapidly becoming one of my favortie sites. I got hooked on the Salisbury fiasco and can't quit reading it.

Really I mean really someone should send this picture to the NFL channel or ESPN .

That is such a great pic in so many ways.

He should have to tongue polish Thunder in January as well.

Reilly is pals with Elway who is pals with Shanahan. I think that explains his perspective.

I'm still waiting for midnight to strike and turn the Broncos into a pumpkin. I'm enjoying the ride but I still have my doubts this works all season.

Hey Rick, Looks like the Titans will be 0-7 since disrespecting the Terrible Towel. Never under estimate the power of the towel. --Mike (Pittsburgh)

That's nothing. The Denver Broncos are 5-0 since I disrespected them. They're 5-0 since I said Josh McDaniels made one of the worst trades in NFL history. They're 5-0 since I called McDaniels "Boy Blunder."

I still think the trade was lousy. Chicago -- with the Broncos' ex-QB, Jay Cutler -- is seventh in scoring. The Broncos are 22nd. But Kyle Orton has been far better than I thought he'd be. He's been smart, calm and judicious with the football (7 TDs, 1 INT).

What I didn't know is that McDaniels and new defensive coordinator Mike Nolan had put together a nasty, miserly, veteran-led defense that is absolutely hell to run against and nearly as hard to pass against. Denver is not just No. 1 in the NFL in fewest points given up, they are No. 1 by nearly six points per game! Do you realize they're on pace to become just the fifth NFL team in history to give up less than 10 points per game?

I was wrong. The kid can coach. He's been nothing short of a 5-8 coaching Godzilla. The Broncos have won three of their five by coming from behind in the second half. That's just pure coaching.

As penance, I will wear those horrible striped socks the rest of the season.

OK, that was a joke.

Really.

Classic title; "Delighting In Rick Reilly's Massively Wrong Broncos Predictions"

Its one thing for a media 'expert' to be dead wrong. Name calling and generally being a douche in your articles is quite another matter. Nice to see a little accountability.

I think it's all about Archuleta..If I wasn't married, I'd have let her lead the league in sacks this year...

Rick Reilly was a decent read back in the day. But like many sportswriter's the camera has changed him.

The truth is that Reilly is like all the rest of those who are in the media...they want their story to be true, because it fits a certain template they have and they don't care if they have to manufacture the "evidence". And they are generally so arrogant that they'll stick by their "story' even if the evidence states otherwise.

Apparently Lauren (Gardner) had to hang up the pom-poms for age.

Still my favorite... Although she drives me NUTS. She's my wife's friend. I keep telling her they should have a slumber party:)

He was wrong on a lotta stuff.

But even though 5-0 is pretty awesome, maybe wait on hammering the doubters. We've started fast and faded over and over before. That was Shanahan of course, but still, maybe we should wait a few weeks.

Or maybe just don't "hammer" the doubters at all. We're all Broncos fans.

So people should wait on hammering the likes of Rick Reilly, but people like Rick Reilly shouldn't have waited before hammering Josh McDaniels and the Denver Broncos?

Sadly thats how things roll in the inner circle and peeps that like to show their cards to everybody at the table before the hand is done.
