The Pats, if i'm not mistaken, were one of the favorites to win the AFC.

We are 5-0 and we beat them. We beat them!!

Our defense is crucial, our coach is smarter than everybody else (wild horse formation out of nowhere?...when did Shanny do that?), we are more than capable on offense with our top five OL, WRs, and TEs, and Kyle Orton is uber better than Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson.

**** what chacha know, this could be it.

Really.

This.

Could.

Be.

It.

I would give my left nut (**** it, take it, I'm too old) for this team to win.

I think we can do it.

Don't jinx us man...
Hold off your enthusiasm, and take it one game at a time...
It's a lot more fun that way... :D

Are you crazy?

We are going to suck the rest of the season and finish 4-12.

We will suck so bad that they will have to take away a W.

Too early yet. But looking good so far.

One game at a time! Just keep that thought.

If our offense plays like that with only a fumble that hurt us (the int as a hail mary should never count), then this team can get to the promise land. The defense is already there, our game plan ranks up there with Shanahan's game plan against the Packers in SB 32, the players are buying into it and I believe the offense is getting better and gelling every week so why not? With home field advantage slanting out way and Orton seems to love home cooking, our fans getting back into making Mile High an advantage and the talent on this team, why not? We still have Colts, Steelers and Ravens to worry about (maybe even the Chargers) but I am liking our chances. My first goal was 8-8 or 9-7. Second hope was playoffs. These two seem like a given right now. We are 3 and 0 of the 6 games people were scared about.

I'm not going to poo-poo your thread.

There's not a single one of us here that isn't starting to believe this in the back of their head, however...

We just want to enjoy this one game at a time, and continue to watch this group get better. I will grant you that what we see right now is a playoff caliber team, but the true superbowl contenders generally emerge the last 4-5 games of the year.

I will be attending the Thanksgiving game against the Giants, and I think that at that time we will know a little more about our team. If we can beat the Chargers (especially twice), I will jump on the SB bus.

The other major test after the Giants will be the Colts. The whole irony of that is that they now have Coyer running their defense, which could never find a way to beat the Colts offense. Should be interesting.

Seriously, I think if we can continue to improve we have a shot. BUT we have to keep improving because there are a bunch of problems with our team, even if we're winning. We have a good shot I think, no team has really been unbeatable (Colts?), but let's wait a month at least to see where we are.

Sure we can! Anyone remember Jon Gruden taking the Bucaneers to the SB the first year after he took over for Tony Dungy! It could happen. Gruden led Tampa to a 12-4 record...I see no reason why McD can't do the same .

If the offense can start putting up points early, this team could be dangerous.
I'm not ready to put them in the elite class of the NFL though.

Edit; I am going to go ahead and boycott this thread for obvious reasons. ;D

Way too freaking early to even talk about a Super Bowl.

Hell... it's too early to even talk about a division title let alone playoffs.

The only thing we can say is that we have an important game against San Diego Monday night. The next game is the only one that matters for this team.

Yeah best to think of division title only at this point. But if the broncos win next week it will be tough to bet them for the division IMO.
