I would like to introduce you to a really cool play:

I hear it's excellent when you need one damn inch.

*sighs*

It's our interior O-Line, they're just too small for all this power straight up the middle stuff.

dear enroljas,

there's a reason that mcdaniels is an NFL head coach and you are just some schlub posting on the internet.

I don't need to be an NFL coach to know that handing off gives the defensive line a ton of time to penetrate.

His way hasn't worked two weeks in a row.

I think that short yardage situations have been a bit of a weakness for us this season, but i think its a little crazy to say that its down to playcalling, as the playcalling has NOT sucked elsewhere, and short-yardage running plays tend to be more down to execution than playcalling.

I suspect that there are some issues with the interior O-line - maybe Hamilton is struggling with the more physical situations? He's our lightest interior O-linemen, and his strength has always been technique over brute force. That's just a guess though, I've only seen one live game this year so far so am in no way suggesting I've analysed line play in sufficient detail to make that call.

Josh McDaniels has the fire of a coach that wants it more than anybody on the field and I think the pointing at the crowd and fist pump shows it. No need to bash him!

Guys quit arguing this point. QB sneak was probably the right play to call in both instances. Instead he opted for a run and it failed 3 times in two different situations. Maybe next time....

I love his play calling, especially today, but we do need to so something at down and inches. I don't think we've converted on that in like 8 plays this year.
