I just saw an article on the USA Today online website. It's old, from June, but I missed it the first time around. At work I've been defending the off season changes, but I'd have backed McDaniels even more strongly had I seen this at the time.

"Believe me, I've been on teams that people didn't have great confidence in, and I know this: There's a way to win with whatever team you have. It's our job to find that way."

I like the idea, the thought, etc... But you still need some kind of talent.

Like the type of talent that was so good that people drafted them out of college so they could pay them millions of dollars a year to play a game? Every team has talent, it's all about how it's used.

Outside of Ty Law, Lawyer Milloy, and Richard Seymour (who was a rookie), name the players with supreme talent on the 2001 Patriots squad.

Tom Brady

Not in 2001 he wasn't. He was a "Manage the Game" type of QB.

The camera man filming the Defensive plays. He was top in the business, as were the guys that summarized the info at half time. Did wonders for their second half comebacks ;D

"....Some kind of talent."

Dawkins, Champ, Marshall, Clady, Harris, Moreno, Hillis, Royal, Stokes, Williams, Sheffler, Graham, Doom, Davis, Woody, Kuper, Harris, Weigeman.......

I'd say there is "some kind of talent there, wouldn't you?

All that "lack of talent" bullshyte is nothing more than a misguided backhanded whack at Orton. Grow up.

Every team in the NFL has "some kind of talent".

It takes recognizing that talent and finding a way to put it in a position to be successful.

Doom is a good example and if McDaniels and Nolan had not come around the Broncos may have lost him only to find him excel in another teams system. Like it has happened so many times in the past.

Exactly, it didn't work well with previous Bronco coaching teams.
