It’s not going happen tomorrow but if food supplies were shut off tomorrow, how long do you think you could last? One can’t prepare for every temporal emergency, but considering inflationary pressures, and the possibility of greater international unrest, how many care to share what they have done to prepare for their family and neighbors.
A large food storage can be done properly and rotated so nothing has to go to waste. I think folks here would be surprised based on various calculators on how much food is required to keep one person alive comfortably for one year, and how much money it would take to get supplies in a hurry. If one attempts to do it last minute, its probably not going to happen, and it will cost much more. My unsolicited advice is to get it done, over the next few months by prioritizing and building it into your budget. Also, if you buy it use it daily -- I can’t think of anything more wasteful then getting it, but not rotating it.
