I'm kind of confused in that the redskins are in the NFC. So wouldn't this be his only AFC defensive player of the week, or his third as a bronco?

It's his third DPOW award. First AFC DPOW, also first in a Broncos uni.

My bad for not being more specific.

If he don't finish his career a Bronco it's a crime.

Didn't realize this was his first DPOW, would have assumed that in '06 when he finished 2nd in the DPOY voting that he would have been DPOW at least once that season.

Nice, it will be interesting to see if Brady goes at him or away.

I think it's probably safe to assume that Jared Allen will be the NFC Defensive Player of the week, no?

Thank god the Chefs traded Allen away! Of course they now have Brandon Albert and Glen Dorsey that we should be weary of... ;D

I will not be weary of them any time soon (much like al), nor will I be wary.

Thank God they didn't go Clady-Flacco with those picks.

If Smith and JMFW play well he could be gone in a few years. Wonder if he would be willing to play safety if he every losses a step?

Well I remember Bailey covering moss last season. He shut his ass down son! I know it was Castle at QB. I wanna see Brady go at him though. Brady is probly startingto have nightmares again, just like after that playoff loss. He'll probly hesitate and throw a nice pick to Champ.

That was the dreaded game of injury was it not? Don't talk about that game...

Great QBs are too smart to throw at Bailey.

Remember when we played the Colts with DWill on Reggie Wayne?

PEyton threw exactly one pass to Marvin Harrison and Champ almost picked it off and Peyton said **** that and threw to Reggie the rest of the day.

He deserved it for pissing all over Romo last week.

Peyton would never say that. He has too many ads at stake.

It's surprising he hasn't been awarded this more frequently. I wonder if it's b/c no one throws his way. Oh well, Thanks Romo!!

No kidding! The '06 Cardinals game when he picked off Leinart twice immediately comes to mind and the games where he intercepted balls for TDs (DAL '05, SD '05, SF '06).

I have a couple of friends that are Cowboys fans. I have been giving them crap all week about how dumb that team is for testing Champ like they did. Especially those last two attempts. I don't know if it is true, but one just texted me and said Champ was thrown at 13 times while Goodman was only thrown at 3 times. That is some good decision making....

They now justify it by saying they are getting Shanahan after this season. I don't want to see that happen. Romo could really use an offensive minded coach though. Whoever came up with this last game plan should not be in the NFL.

He won that game.

Great game from a great player. It looked to me like he was hurt on the 53 yard play. I swear he was limping down the field....

NICE--Champ is as hardworking as he is talented--despite being made to sit out on the 1st day of Training camp this year for conditioning!

First DPOW? Wow, I wouldn't have guessed that one. I could have sworn he got one a couple years ago.

Way to go Champ!
