Cowboys cornerback Terence Newman complained about the officiating on Brandon Marshall's game-winning 51-yard touchdown.

Newman believed that Marshall should have been flagged for grabbing his jersey near the line of scrimmage. A replay showed that Marshall used his right hand to give a quick tug of Newman's left shoulder, allowing Marshall to get a good release on the route up the right sideline.

"You can put that on any clip in the NFL," Newman said. "It didn't get called, so they score and they win."

Newman recovered to get in good position to defend the throw lofted to the 32-yard line, but Marshall soared over him to snatch the pass and made a few Cowboys miss during a spectacular run into the end zone.

"I thought I did a good job on him all day," Newman said of Marshall, who finished with four catches for 91 yards. "If he didn't grab my jersey, the ball is going the other way, I can guarantee you."

Didn't they get enough calls in that game? How many did they need to win?

That play was about two things:

1. Who wanted it more.
2. Who had more tools to get it.

Nobody so far has talked about Graham's downfield blocking on that play. Without it, no touchdown.

This is coming from a guy who had 2 'good' plays keeping the ball away from Royal by bumping him without touching him before the ball arrived. I look at like the Champ play a the end of the game, it could have been called but wasn't. Lots of stuff happens on every play.

Considering the interference they called on Sheff, I'm surprised they didn't call that on Marshall. I'm surprised not every play wasn't pass interference on both teams after that call. Sheff did nothing but run his route.

Had we not had that call, maybe we score on that drive and don't need Marshall at end of game.

There are so many possibilities in a football game, to cry about one play you obviously got out performed athletically on is a joke.

Marshall made him look like a lil baby. Baby!!! go get your bottle!!!!

Noone even tried to go after Marshall. Graham just put out his arms and ushered him the rest of the way.

Please. DB's are allowed to tug on a jersey within five yards of the LOS also, so I don't see the problem. Jeez, man up. Newman tried to jam him and whiffed was the bottom line.

No ref ever, ever, ever has or will throw a flag for a jersey tug within five yards of the LOS no matter if it's the O player or the D player. Just frustration showing for him to say that.

I played H.S. ball with Terence. He's always been a whiner. He was damn good in college, he usually shut down half the field ???

And I just watched that replay 5 times plus one on MNF halftime just now, and there was no penalty at all. It's not just a "non-call," it's a "non-penalty." Both players have an equal right to the football, as long as they're facing the ball, and both were. Brandon is taller and his arms are longer, it makes no difference he caught the ball above TN's head and body ... it's humiliating to lose the ball that way, but it's not a penalty.

The only part of Brandon's body that touched anything there was his palms ... and they got 90% ball.

William's pads were all on half crooked and all Brandon was doing was trying to straiten it out for him so he didn't look like such a dweeb.....the thanks people get for trying to help others.....plus if the idiot didn't keep trying to hook his left arm around the receivers waist to hold them from going by he wouldn't lower his shoulder and make it so easy for that little tug to take place....

I think Newman was referring to Brandon's non-chuck at the line of scrimmage.

But still, to me this is a dad issue. Dead issue! Daed dad! Deadbeat dad! Daddy didn't love me!

Newman's mistake was how he played the ball. I didn't like the quick turn at the last second while the ball was in the air. I think he should have read BM and when he saw him slow up and jump, just timed it and put his arm right in the middle of BM's hands.

and even Aikman said that call against Schef was BS. and that holding call on Weigman was pathetic also. He didn't grab and hold at all, he was pushing his defender. How can you hold when you are pushing?

Yeah, the Boys have no room to complain. They got plenty of calls and non-calls to go their way. Even lots of fans on their forums said they got plenty of help from the zebras and the complainers had no room to complain.
