Damn, Denver has given up half as many points as the next closest team and Atlanta has only played 3 games.

They're also #1 sacks (1 more than Chicago) and "down" to #2 in total defense behind the Jets.

Edit: Giants, not the Jets

And Dallas's mere 10 is massively impressive ... they've been very productive offensively.

#2 overall. But both the rushing and passing defenses are in the top 5. Rushing attack is also 4th in the league.

averaging 6.5 points per game that is unheard of

Two word: Mike Nolan. Biggest offseason acquisition for us was a coach.

wow this is a big happy change from last year. These defenses are polar opposites, thank you Josh for blowing up our entire D and starting over!

I disagree. Getting Nolan AND Dawkins were two big keys...

By the way all the people who wanted spangnula or whatever his name is are now really wrong.

Had we hired a defensive coach, no way Nolan comes here. So chalk up another great decision by Pat Bowlen.

He hired Mcdaniels, that allowed Mcdaniels to pick Nolan. Everything happens for a reason. Right now the trade seems pretty good for both teams.

You can win without a guy like Cutler. But Chicago fans happy to be winning with offense instead of defense.

Still had Cutler bought into this we could be talking juggernaught.

As it is the offense needs to get better. Until we can move ball better we won't be winning the Superbowl. I can't believe I'm saying this so soon. But this team isn't that far away from being a Superbowl team.

Yup....Over 28 ppg coming into this and the #1 rushing O with 200 ypg?

10 & 75 is impressive as hell. Too bad NE smokes them next week. Mckid cannot beat the master. :wiggle:

26 points - fricken wow. I don't care how they rank stuff, 26 points given up in 4 games and we win all of them = #1 defense to me.

10 teams gave up more than 26 points this week only:
(3 of them from the AFC West)

Lions (48), Raiders (29), Seahawks (34), Titans (37), Chiefs (27), Ravens (27), Bills (38), Rams (35), Chargers (38), Steelers (28)

I made this joke last week, and I'll make it again:

I remember last season when I'd be happy with 26 points allowed in a half...

Really? Man, the NFC isn't that good. Wonder what's up with that.

How does this happen? I mean last year D was one of the worst and this years is #1 that just does not happen. :yayaya:

Got to give big props to Nolan:angel:
