This team is much better than I thought they would be. I've been critical of McDaniels for several moves. I was not upset with his FA signings, just felt we signed too many RB's. Questioned the trade of Jay and still do, with his system and Jay's talents, we could have an equally amazing O to match our great D. Our D has been spectacular thanks to Mr. Nolan and I don't even know that we have the superb talent (just speaking of our guys up front) that so many other great D's have, but our players have been in postion to make plays and are tackling well. Didn't like many moves we made in the draft either, but I should give more time to make an evaluation. All in All, I'm an idiot and this team has exceeded my expectations. Still not expecting to go deep into the palyoffs this year, but I can see the potential.

A big serving of crow for me please....

Even after the first 3 wins... i was not convinced since they were against inferior opposition....

Now I am convinced..... we may not go deep in to the playoffs.... but we are a good team.... Shanny D would NOT have held in this situation....

Boy, first time being wrong feels so good!!!

You could put my fat ass at QB and this team could win...what a defense. The crush...the freaking orange CRUSH!! I'm pumped!!

We have already achieved what I expected for the full season in 4th week... Jay Cutler and Mike Shanawho?

I guess I deserve a little crow. I didn't think they'd be this good.
That said:
- I did think our defense would be better than people thought
- I did think 8 - 10 wins was possible (although I think I officially picked 6?)
- I did think our offense would struggle to score points (so far right)

They still got work to do, but this was SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most delicious crow ever!

I was wrong about the defense, I was wrong about Orton (he did what needed to be done and has 4 W's now), I was wrong about needing high profile players on the line. I couldn't be happier. Eating crow with a smile. :) Anyone who has anything else I was wrong about, please step up. I am not full yet, but I am sure the Broncos will give me plenty more over the course of the season. This is what a good football team looks like, and my only regret is that I wasn't 100% in favor of the moves all along. I still know why I reacted the way I did, but the long shot paid off and I will give McDanielsand the rest the credit they are due. Awesome performance.

Still waiting for the bigger haters to climb out from under their rocks and admit they were wrong.

Orton came through when we needed him too. I do hope we have or get a QB to develop this offseason. But I think Orton will be very servicable much like Plummer was. Poor game plan. We should never feature the long ball that much. Didn't work with Plummer. Didn't work with Cutler. Won't be working with Orton either.

I wasn't a 'hater' and i was cautiously optimistic about McD and life after Jay, but I never ever ever in my wildest most feverish dreams thought we would have a defense even half as good as this one. I did think the defense would be better, but nowhere near this. They really proved they are for real today.

Happily enjoying my enormous serving of crow. This offseason had me believing that 4-12 was very realistic with a slight chance of 6-10 w/ some lucky bounces. I'm happy to admit I was wrong.

This crow is delicious, thank you McKid, Orton, Marshall, and especially the D!

I was also wrong about the overall season performance. I stayed mostly around the 5-11 line, with variations of 6-10 or as low as 3-13. Considering my low side has already been surpassed, and the high side is only two games away I would say it is safe to assume I was wrong on that end as well. I will gladly eat crow with every win from this point forward regarding that prediction. Not the first time I have been wrong, it certainly won't be the last, and I don't recall ever being happier about being completely off base.

On a side note, though I know this doesn't fit with the thread, I still think combined GM and HC responsibilities are a stretch, and hope that we get someone in who can manage the GM side of things to take pressure off McDaniels. Although considering how wrong I have been thus far, it is possible I was wrong about Xanders too, and we already have the guy that I think we need.
