Just curious. We've been good at running lately and even today. What do you think?

It reminds me of the Raiders game at Mile High last season.....

I think you are an annoying prick who is on ignore by most of the posters on here and should go be a Bears fan and leave us people who actually don't like it when the team loses in peace.

We can see your loss boner from here. It isn't over yet.

OK, except your not much of a thinker so that pretty much settles that.

The game plan? Sucked. We we're running at will. The short dink and dunk stuff was working. Orton's long balls weren't badly thrown but they would have to have been precision perfect since they never bit on any of it. Nobody was wide open for one.

Should have stuck to what let us destroy the Raiders and Browns.

The game plan?

You mean.. to win?

I love it.

We had to come out and try to move the ball further down the field. Even if it doesn't work, it makes teams respect the deeper routes. Mission accomplished. We ran very effectively in the 2nd half and that's why we won the game... that and D E F E N S E.

The only thing is that Im sure they expected Dallas to load up against the run due to our recent success so they probably wanted to use that to help Orton get things going. It obviously didnt work. Orton wasnt sharp and there were a lot of penalties that made it hard to consistently line up and run with all the long yardage situations.

I think the most important drive of the game might have been the one in the second half were we were stopped on 4th down. That was a run focused drive and it used a lot of the clock. It also came at a time where anxiety was about to set in with our defense being on the field too much was concerned. I think that drive allowed the defense to regroup even if it didnt get points.

With the W...a perfect gameplan.

With the W...a perfect gameplan.

It wasnt without flaw but at least you can kind of see the reasoning in not giving a heavy dose of the run. It ended up backfiring.

I didn't get to see the game but it seemed like we weren't running it as much as we could have/should have. Also, although this isn't "game plan", not kicking the FG on 4th really pissed me off. Great win though. The D was stout and Brandon Marshall showed up. Ugly wins still count.

It's very difficult for me to transition to watching this style of team. I've been used to the "get up big early and hold on for dear life" approach for the last ten years...very difficult to get used to relying on our defense.

In response to the thread question, if the gameplan was let the defense keep it close enough to win (that's what I think this team's gameplan has to be from now on), I applaud it.

That was a big drive. But damn we need to get some other plays for those situations. That's like 5 times we've been stuffed on a play like that. Can't do that.

lex, you're just starting to embarrass yourself now.

I think the whole "I told you so" thing is sort of lame, personally. But you aren't a Bronco fan. I don't know why you hang out here.

And I'm not usually one to point out spelling/grammar issues. But when you make a post calling someone else stupid, you put a bit of a target on your forehead.

I don't disagree with the need to do it. We've done it a little bit in every game. But some of the places they chose to do it were a little frustrating. Add in those first half penalties and it was just one shot to the foot after the other. Thank God they pulled their heads out. Orton played solid in the second half.

Our game plan is going to be different every week and feature different players every week. Josh is going to try to exploit what he believes to be the weaknesses of every opponent. Thing is, it is still up to the players to execute the plan. Orton was off early and missed some open receivers and penalties killed a lot of drives. Nothing wrong with the game plan. What is different with this team is that it is just that - a TEAM. We can win with all aspects of the game - offense, defense and special teams. There is a toughness and a grit that I have not seen in a long time and I am loving it. This team does not get down, plays hard every play and has become mentally tough.

Yeah, my grammar suffers when Im distracted. You could probably find more grammar errors from me when the game is going on. Is there anything else your going to pin your kvetching on or are you sticking to grammar?

No. It's just funny that you called someone unintellectual by using a run-on sentence with misspelled words.

It'd be like a 500-lb man having an "I hate fat people!" tattoo put on his ass.

Game plan was good. Great use of playaction, though orton did not capitalize. A win is a win. Especially when yr not on yr a-game. Loving it!

Not kicking the FG was a pretty good decision when all things are considered.

Punting at the 30 would have more than likely brought the ball out to the 20 for a net Denver defensive gain of ten yards (from the LOS).

A missed FG would have given the ball to the boys at the 37 for a net Denver defensive loss of 7 yards (from the LOS).

Of course we missed the first down so the boys got the ball at or near the LOS.

Making the FG would have been a good thing.

Making the first down would have also been a good thing.

I felt the choice to run the ball was a good one. Better if we had made the first down but oh well.

Seemed to me that Dallas' defense was strong against the run (prior to this game) and weak against the pass to McD set it up to exploit it by taking shots down field.

Credit Dallas' secondary for making some outstanding plays and their own defensive game plan in bringing heat to limit the time to set up those plays.

The thing about the game i loved the most was the ADJUSTEMENTS at halftime since Dallas took away our original gameplan.

Game Plan was solid throughout. Orton didn't execute early, and penalties killed the "plan" in the first half. Luckily our D played great, Romo was off, and we were able to keep Dallas off balance the entire second half. When Orton started executing throws, the offense moved. Moreno also had some nice runs in the 4th

Gonna have tough hard fought games. What matters is who is still swinging haymakers late in the game.

Without a doubt, we got better as the game progressed.

It's early, but I swear I think the season is gonna go the same way. That means hope.

Thank you Pat Bowlen, for revitalizing a single Bronco fans hope.

Yeah...How 'bout them Cowboys!!:spit:

I didn't care for the Slowik like soft cushion we employed against their WRs at times during the game, particularly in the first half, but overall I certainly can't complain about the way the defense played.
