That's funny. Especially since there has been so much talk lately of coaches who prepare their players for every kind of scenario. Guess the coach forgot to tell that player that if he ever catches a short FG attempt, not to run it out of the endzone and just spike it............hahahahaha.

Dude that kid was laughing in the interview afterwords.

Reminds me of DeSean Jackson's early spike last year.

The coach is the real idiot. Why does he have a field goal return play called with one second left and the lead?

exactly. To return it, they would need to score a TD to make it count. They didnt need anymore points. I guess they werent born when Leon Lett tried to grab a failed kick. Bad coach and not so bright kid. TG something happened at the end because i was getting much bored with that hickish football game. Who in the hell plays varsity football during the day? I guess somewhere in Hicksville where they cant afford lights. Anyways, any place called OTTER Valley doesnt deserve to win at anything. How embarrassing.

If you look at the 1:40 mark you can see that the ball didn't even make it into the endzone. Before the the kick was even kicked he had gunners on the line that rushed in from way outside. I think both players, the guy that caught the ball and the kid next to him was down there for a fake kick and not down there to return a missed kick.

then why are they so close to each other and why didnt the coach tell them not to grab the ball if it doesnt make it? No excuse. Coach should have known this.

The coach was probably ignorant to the fact. Simple as that really. I agree they were back there to prevent a fake play though.

Such a stupid play though... why would you even contemplate spiking the ball in the field of play. Even if the clock hit 0 (which it did) the game wouldn't be over... absolutly moronic.

The coach should have told him kids to not take the kick but even still, the odds of a legit fumble turning into a TD were slim to none even if a person caught it.

No one could have foreseen that stupidity.

The worst part about this is that the fagot ass reporters actually released the name of the kid who did this during the cast.

Casey Babcock... oh boy lol.

I'm sure they lined up ten yards apart. You can tell by the angle that they weren't even in the end zone maybe closer to the five. There is no excuse for what the kid did, but I think he was shocked as hell that he was even able to be in a position to catch the ball. Its just my opinion but I doubt he was in kick return and he was in kick safe and just happened to make one very bad decision.

Seriously. I mean, he starts to get over the game and comes on here to find out about his favorite team and then finds out he looks like Jay Cutler. Right back into depression.

I had $10 and a lunch ticket on Otter Valley to win. Kid is a dufus looking chap. Plus, he needs to work on his spike. It would have been better if McBuff was doing the Sports reporting.

That's what I thought. They were their playing safety, not for a return.

State Championship game my Senior year our FG kicker had the states highest kicking % - hadn't missed a FG in 45 attempts and he missed a 20-yard FG to win the game with 0:03 on the clock. Dude was a 4 year starter and had a full ride to Clemson for football. He almost turned into the dreaded 'Jay Cutler face', but with intervention, therapy and the right medical care, he overcame.

0:39 - watch the Olineman #75....that kind of effort is priceless.

That is an f-d up offensive line. Seriously, 6-2 220lb wide receivers and yet the oline looks like they're all 5'5" x 5'5" with huckmole syndrome.....football coaches are shameless.
