If that's right, then the bar must be set pretty low. It's not that he's sucked. But he hasn't really stood out all that much, either.

I like his kickoffs, though.

I thought he did a really good job against OAK, like he was toying with them. He put it through the EZ at first. Then he was baiting them to come out by dropping it right inside the goal line. It did work a bit.

Yeah.Thats right. He just hasnt had enough touchbacks. God he sucks! Every other kicker in the league would have made those two kicks that he missed in Denver.

why?

He started out great last year and was dog crap in the second half of the season

Hopefully he can continue to play well

He missed a couple kicks but otherwise has played well. His hang time on kickoffs seems a split second or so longer. Also he is getting them nice and deep which is great help for our coverage team.

The ones he missed were in heavy wind. He still has some tricks to learn when it comes to hooking and drawing his kicks into the wind.

Honestly I think he hits it as hard as he can everytime. It's just kicking an odd shaped ball 70 yrds not that easy. I think sometimes the hit it just right and it fly's right out of endzone. Other times just don't hit it as solid.

If a kicker could really say I am going to drop it 3 yrds deep this time, then do it consistently that would be really something.

Nice, he was having a great month. Other than those two missed field goals in the Cleveland, he has been great

Besides those two misses against Cleveland, he's been fantastic. Hopefully it lasts.

The wind pushed those two alot.

The wind pushed those two alot.

The first one sure, I'd cut him some slack on that one.

But as a pro, with a second kick in almost the exact same situation, he has to make that one.

I'm surprised he won this award, but hell, good for him.

The touchbacks and kicks in end zone are what does it for him folks.

7 touchbacks and damn near half your kicks in the end zone is awesome folks. Its not like we were in Denver all three games, 1 game was in freaking Oakland which is at freaking sea level and the other in Cincy, not exactly Mt Everest.

13 of his kicks, or something like 90% of them have gone INTO the end zone.

No other kicker in the league is doing that right now.

I think Cincy is actually below sea level, being next to the river and all.

Okay, here's a few reasons most of us hadn't thought of:

"He booted 13-of-15 September kickoffs into the end zone, with seven going for touchbacks. With those kicks, the Broncos lead the AFC in lowest average opponent starting position (20.6-yd. line) and total defense (214.7 yds. per game)"

why are people dogging him so much for his 2 missed FGs?! The wind was ripping them like crazy, you could tell it was really gusting. Congrats Prater!!
