View Full Version : My first man crush: Brian Dawkins

Dude, I just watched his Wednesday presser and I can't believe how much I love this guy. Everything he says, how he holds himself, his intensity, his leadership, this guy is everything the Denver Bronco defense needed last year and then some. This guy is like John Lynch x 10. And that's saying something because Lynch was one of those rare guys that exuded confidence and leadership on the field.

If you haven't seen his Wednesday presser, wait for it to be streamed later and watch it. I highly recommend it.

Two "I have a man crush on Brian Dawkins" threads started in one week.

Thought there'd be more, frankly.

How could you not have this sort of man crush for Atwater? Not to knock Dawkins - hell no! But you missed out on a great man crush. Just thinking about what that guy meant to the Broncos sends me into euphoria.

That was before my man crush days.

When Atwater played I was knee deep in high school pussy. Hard to top that.

Dawkins is the ****. Period. My favorite player right now... and Clady, and Champ... heck I love this team. So many players to like. Totally different from last year where the only really likeable players were Champ, Eddie, Hillis and the Oline.

I am glad he is my adopt a bronco. I jumped on that as soon as they signed this guy and he was loved in philly which says a lot because that city only gets behind great players who also are great guys.

There is nothing wrong with mancrushes.

Dawkins is a big reason this D is light years better than last year. We haven't had an intimidating player on the D side since Lynch's last really good year in 2005.

Liar. Your first man crush was on Raef LeFrentz... that guy sucked. Yet you thought he was all great and crap because he played at KU.

That right there is a scary mofo thing if you are a ball carrier. Two guys that are great at what they do and know they can trust each other to do what they do.
Bailey will get a few picks this year and he will owe them in part to Dawkins. He will know he can go for the ball and his help from behind will actually make the tackle if he doesn't get the ball.

I hope when Dawk hangs 'em up, he stays with the Broncos as a coach. Such a smart player, he knows his stuff and the whole defense too. He seems like a guy who could teach and motivate as a coach (he's certainly done so as a player).
