Broncos: 2-0

Opponent: raiders (1-1)
If win: lead the division with 3-0 record, 1-2 games ahead of other teams (depends on SD)
If loss: at best, #2 in division if SD loses, #3 if SD wins, as SD and OAK both have better division records.
Notes: dominated weak browns team, dumervil is still sick, marshall is 100% questionable at all times this year, orton is playing smart.

Oakland: 1-1

Opponent: denver broncos (2-0)
If win: lead the division with 2-1 and 2 AFCW wins.
If loss: broncos take top spot, drop to #3 behind chargers regardless of win or loss
Notes: nmandi is still nmandi, jamarcus cannot complete a short pass to save his life, louis murphy may be the steal of the draft, richard seymous is very dangerous, if lined up on anyone but clady he may be a problem.

Chargers: 1-1

Opponent: miami
If win: #2 or #1, depending on outcome of broncos game
If loss: at best #2, at worst #3 if raiders win.
Notes: phillip rivers has a full arsenal of pass catchers this year, they are thin at both line positions.

Chiefs: 0-2

Opponent: PHI
If win: #4 in the AFCW
If loss: #4 in AFCW
Notes: PHI is struggling, mcnabb out, vick in. matt cassel may prove to have been a system player as brodie croyle put an impressive performance against ravens.

think its all there...anything else i missed?

We saw Clady handle Seymour pretty well last year, although Seymour was the only player to earn a sack against Clady.

I think Harris will handle Seymour as well, Harris seems to do better against technique than pure speed. Seymour is a dangerous mix of power and skill and I think Harris with a hand from Graham should be able to neutralize him pretty well.

The one thing about Oakland that can be tricky is their LBs, they have a lot of speed at that position which makes stretch plays harder, but if we can get people to the second level on runs between the hashmarks it should be easier to control a 230 lb guy than a 255 lb guy.

The division is still wide open, granted we're only 2 games in.

The Chargers were the early favorites but they have been DECIMATED by injuries. We're talking scrubs that have been released by other teams as starters now. That's not good.

If Denver plays smart and gets a few lucky bounces, or if Oakland ever gets its act together and puts a real QB back there, this season could get real interesting.

It really could come down to the wire again. Who are the teams in the last 2 games the Chargers/Raiders/KC/Denver play against? It could be that close...

LOL

That's the spirit everyone!

Cry and talk **** to each other all day. You all are mad that jay said this fanbase is a 6 but every Bronco forum makes them seem more like a 4. Maybe we should all be mad that he rated us to high?

This division has always been wide open. I don't get why people ever thought the dolts would be good this year even if healthy. They had 8 wins like us last year. They have been on a 3 win decline each of the past 3 years. They are nothing without Marty. I do not get why people still predict them for the SB.

heh wonder which of my comments would make anyone think im mad cutler istn hear. we have a chance to take a huge lead in the division in just week 3 if we win and chargers lose (which is possible, miami is playing pretty good and wildcat could destroy the chargers dline)

While I'm expecting the Broncos to win only 6-7 games this season, I did expect them to be 2-1 at worst based on their schedule so the season is not a surprise so far as far as I'm concerned.

teams that arent as good as advertised in broncos "super tough" schedule:

ravens D, indy, chargers, NE, dallas

helps a little bit :). none of these teams are as good as they were made out to be in offseason and preseason, all are struggling pretty badly somewhere.

ravens cant stop pass, indy cant stop the run at all, chargers are weak at both lines and pass protection, tom brady is NOT teh same QB he was 2 years ago, very timid and hesitant, and dallas' D and tony romo suck. theres no reason we are huge underdogs in any of these games.

a 2 game lead by week 3 is pretty damn good, best in the NFL probably. maybe our division sucks or whatever but if thats what it takes to get to teh playoffs in a year when everyone wrote us off, ill take it. clearly it is no guarantee we KEEP the lead, but id rather have one than not :D
