View Full Version : Does Detroit get its 1st win in over a season?

Detroit is at home against the Redskins, who are playing terrible football. i think this may be the best shot Detroit has at getting a win right now. Anyone have any thoughts on this game.

Does Detroit finally get a win, or do they continue going winless?

if not now, then when? They are doing better on offense and Redskins cant score so this should be the week. With that said, somehow they are going 0 and 3.

I don't care as long as Cooley gets me like 6 catches 50 yrds and maybe a TD.

I just can't see the Redskins losing to the Lions lol. Stafford makes too many mistakes atm, and it's not like the Redskins are lacking talent on D.

The Lions D aren't any good either.

So I see the Skins holding the Lions O in check and the Skins offense while bad will be able to do enough against a just as bad Lion defense.

The Redskins should take care of Detroit. I haven't seen much of Washington this year, but I have seen bits of a couple of Lions games. They are awful...

The real battle comes later when they play the Rams...the torch should be passed during that game making the Rams the worst team in football. Lions will lose to the Deadskins IMO.

I actually give the Rams a fair shot at winning this week. The Packers couldn't stop Cedric Benson, Steven Jackson is going to have a field day especially with both Green Bay starting Safeties out. The Packers Oline has been awful and that was before they lost pro bowl LT Chad Clifton to injury late last week.

As for the Lions, if they can put up 24 points I think they should win, the skins have been downright awful offensively.

Detroit gets Cleveland at home this year as well which could be a winnable game for Detroit if Cleveland doesn't show any improvement soon...

Something must have happened to them while blowing out the Broncos two years ago. Because their 2007 record was 6-2 after beating Denver and 1-25 since then.

09-24-2009, 11:39 PM
Yeah, why not? They gotta beat somebody someday. Tampa Bay is down the road if the skins get away.

09-24-2009, 11:51 PM
i gotta say no. redskins arent playing team ball, but they have talent all over the field. dline, WR, RB, S. detroit really ahs no talent anywhere on the field. theres no reason to pick detroit until they show they arent just awful.

skins have a top 10 defense IMO, that is the only reason they win in a close one.

I'm tempted to pick Detroit as an upset special in my football pool this week but I think Detroit gets their first win against the Rams (who they get after their bye week) or the Browns.

I think those three are in a race to see who gets the first pick in next years draft.

No way .

I dont know guys, the Skins O is probably the 2nd worst to STL in the league. Their D is middle of road at best so far and their HC is so scared to lose, he can't playcall for crap. I got Detriot by like 8-10 points. They can at least make some big plays.

09-25-2009, 09:31 AM
The Skins struggled to put up 9 against the Rams.
I could see this game being 6-3 either way.

Portis breaks out in this one. Look for him to have 140 yards and 2 TDs.

As much as I would love seeing the Redskins sink to the Raiders level of disfunction, the Lions quite simply aren't ready yet.

09-25-2009, 05:07 PM
i have picked Detroit to get it's first win against Washington. i just feel they are due and the Redskins are sucking horribly right now, the time is right for Detroit if they can pull their heads out of their asses

Rams are the worst team in football IMO...they lose to the Lions later this year.

We need a AA league regulation system, so teams can't get away with being this God-awful bad for so long. The Raiders would be joining them.

The Browns might want to argue that. ;D

Good for Detroit. Those fans deserve a win for sticking through an 0-16 season.

Grats detroit! I bought the detroit fan a drink at the bar for his win.

I stand corrected, who would of thunk???

OT, but a lions fan at the Vikings game - things don't go well.
