Rivers threw the ball at the ground, took his mouthpiece out and said something in the direction of Oakland defensive tackle Gerard Warren during the third quarter on Monday night. He was penalized 15 yards.

After the game, Rivers denied that he was taunting Warren.

Rivers led two Chargers touchdown drives, including an 89-yard drive for the winning score in the final seconds.

Even though Charger fans got on Cutler for being a "whiny baby" I still don't know how they don't think Rivers is an instigating asshole.

Rivers yelled "stop at the whistle!" at Warren....who was diving at one of his linemen after the play.....He got the penalty for spiking the ball. I guess that is taunting.

Yep.

It's funny how the media has brainwashed Rivers into some gigantic a-hole. Meanwhile, Tom Brady is a saint.

Go figure...

Probably because this is a trend with Rivers.

Yeah, that damn media brainwashing that young, impressionable Rivers into an a-hole.

Although I don't think it was by the media's hand alone... he might have been born that way.

I wonder if rivers paid with the change in his couch or the change between the seats in his car?

Fair enough, but personally, I think the 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty was sufficient punishment.

15 yard unsportsman like conduct is almost an automatic fine these days, league policy.

Anytime you spike the ball in the guys face like that it's going to be a penalty, which it should have been, but the fine is total BS. There was nothing malicious about it and it's not like he was flipping off a fan or something.

I believe NFL fines go to charity so while it's a BS fine (and Rivers certainly won't miss that tiny amount) at least it's going to a good cause. :)

I saw the play and I highly doubt he said "Stop at the whistle". Maybe, but I doubt it.

According to Rivers that's what it was.

Out of curiosity, what do you think he said?

No clue, but it didn't appear to be something so innocuous to me. Especially with spiking the football like he did afterward, my impression was he was talking ****.

Again, I don't know, that may actually be what he said but that's not the impression I got and I certainly don't trust the retard at his word.
