View Full Version : Gut feeling this D will have 3 times the TO's then 2008

From the last preseason game to week #1 I have seen pressure from our D on the QB and guys in position to get take aways. DJ dropped a pick 6, Woodyard got an INT, I think we forced a fumble but didn't recover it, Smith had his hands on a ball.

Just got a gut feeling this D will take the ball away 3 times more then the 2008 squad, which isn't saying they will get a ton of take aways, but a decent amount, enough to get us to the middle of the pack or a tad higher.

love it, and agree

Nolan's defenses average something like 32 a year right?

You need a gut transplant.

Well, we are technically on pace for 48 turnovers this year.

You mean 48 sacks....and 32 TO's.

No, I mean 48 turnovers.

A turnover on downs is a turnover.

Box score says we got 2 TO's... but that's on fumbles and ints.

Is there any site that says we have 3?

Are you talking about the botched FG? Say they miss the FG or got it blocked, I don't think that's a TO.

2 Interceptions and a TO on downs (the botched field goal).

However its called a "turnover on downs". That, sir, is a turnover. Same as a 4th down missed field goal attempt.

48 :)

except the defense didnt force that
I dont see how they can be credited for a botched field goal

But anywho Nolan defenses average like 30 TOs
Granted he was with Baltimore for a while, but it is still very refreshing to have someone who at least attempts to force turnovers as opposed to Slowick who seems to set records of futility every where he goes

4x the turnovers. remember, we play the chiefs and raiders twice each...
