you need 125 ypg to get 2000 yards. hes already +55 on that.

I think he'll get it if he doesnt get hurt. If he doesnt get hurt, I think he'll get the record provided Favre's arm can make the defense defend the whole field.

I'd like to see him get to 2K and Brees overtake Tom's TD record. Playing in domes should help both.

I have never seen anyone get around the corner like he does. It really is a thing of beauty to watch.

Bo Jackson.

Tim Tebow tied Bo Jackson's rushing TD record with 43 and is 6 shy of the all time SEC record of 49 held by Herschel Walker. What's amazing about this is Tebow is a quarterback and he will probably break the passing TD record also before the year is over....

Yeah, I saw that. I think he's only 5 away.

The funny thing is a few years ago I posted a poll where you could pick Reggie Bush or AD...the majority of folks around here chose Reggie Bush. My, how things have changed.

A lot of people here are slaves to the rhetoric coming from E!SPN. So thats not surprising at all.

It would have been Mayock, not Kiper/McShay if what youre saying is true. I wanted to upgrade the running game so it wouldnt all be on Cutler. That was driving my commentary, so please do look it up. The sentiment was something all those who were disappointed in Cutler should agree with. I said OT and RB were the positions of value at 12. Go ahead. Look it up. I actually have reposted my comments from draft day because it debunks what youre suggesting. So, go ahead.

I will admit I thought McFadden would be better than all of them ......... I guess that's why they don't ask my advice. I thought Peterson's ankles were fragile like a racehorse and he wouldn't last...... wow is he a stud ...........

It's still hard to believe MacFadden, Jones and Hillis were in the same college backfield.

I wonder what it would've taken to jump up another 10 spots to grab Peterson in 2007.

Dre Bly and the number one we used for Moss maybe?

I still remember people backing off of Peterson in the 2007 draft, I think most thought he would be a bust.
He was amazing to watch play at OU, he made plays that just took your breath away, and now he is doing it in the NFL. He has that incredible ability of not only having breakaway speed, but also the toughness to break multiple tackles.

McFadden was injured. I wouldnt rule him out yet. But nonetheless, Peterson has set an amazingly high standard. He very well could break Dickersons record if he stays healthy.

I remember arguing with quite a few homers here about AD.

The first that comes to mind is the old cranky drug addict "Slap" and the hordes of USC fans who wouldnt know what an AD looks like unless he played for SC seeing as thats all they know about.

AD was an unstoppable force in college the likes of which we havent seen since Barry Sanders. It was evident from his first game at OU that AD was something special...a once-in-a-generation player. He has both elite speed and elite strength. On top of that, he will absolutely punish a secondary player when he lowers his head and goes crown-to-crown. He's a bull with the speed of a cheetah.

Marshall Faulk was really good at SD State.

Peterson is the first back that reminds me most of Walter Payton, except he's faster than Payton was.

Payton is still my all time favorite running back. Never shied away from contact (in fact, often looked for someone to hit) and busted ass his whole career with a crap o-line for most of it and never had a QB. Peterson is that kind of player. He's just freaking awesome to watch.
