I loved seeing Orton run down the field after the TD.

He had his troubles, but the friggin' dude did nothing to put himself in the middle of this mess, and he's been scrutinized like no other QB in the league. He'll be held to ridiculous standards forever because of it.

The guy deserved a break, and he got one.

That play is easily an all time great play in Broncos history. The fact that it started on the first game of the McDaniels era is a good omen. It reminds me of that awesome tip in the endzone that Eddie Mac grabbed against Minnesota in '95. Very similar feeling!

you know watching this game again. i am not going to say Orton was incredible or anything. he had ups and downs, but playing with a busted up finger he did ok for us. he didn't put us into ****ty situations. he managed the game and also looked decent throwing the ball downfield. he had that nicely thrown ball to Marshall that Brandon let go right through his hands.

i am just about positive that Orton will do just fine for us this year. also, his ups and downs could have been worse. He could have played like CUTLER.

that play was incredible.

he may not be the greatest QB in the world, but he fights til the end and the players like playing with him

The guy deserved a break, and he got one.

This is true.

Just as much as Orton, guys like Stokley, Royal, the O-line, Bailey, DJ, and B-Dawk were well served by getting a break like this out of the gates.

It would have been demoralizing for those guys to go through such a disappointing, chaotic offseason and to give up a road game against a conference opponent in that fashion.

Now they can go back to Denver with their heads up.

the defense win or lose deserved to go back with their heads held high. how long has it been since a Denver defense has allowed only 7 points in a game? and the fact that we were pitching a shut out until 38 seconds left in the game was incredible. our defensive coaches have done a damn good job. and it isn't like we were playing a ****ty offense, Cincinatti has a lot of good weapons and can light up a scoreboard.

when we get the offense going good, and Marshall quits dogging it, we might just be a scary team to play.

Palmer was also injured and out of the line up for all but 4 games. Chad Johnson(not calling him Ocho Cinco) was in the middle of a bad year.

they have an offense that is capable of doing a lot of damage even if they do sometimes shoot themselves in the foot.

and even if their offense is as bad as you seem to say, since you can't help but being a downer on everything, (including a ****ing win), compared with last years defense we were incredible on defense. a ****ty offense last year could drop 30 on us.

Rep!! I get goosebumps watching the replay. After the madness subsided and I had a chance to reflect on the game, I thought about Ed McCaffrey's catch in Minnesota during the 96 season that was tipped by a few people before catching it in traffic and scoring a TD to win the game.
