I don't know if it was his back or what but Hamilton is really stinking up the place. How many penalties today? I can recall at least two critical penalties. He wasn't impressive in the preseason either. Really, I've always felt he was overrated. I think Olsen or Hochstein end up taking his job.

I'm not sure but he needs to lose that mop already.

Yeah, with those false starts, maybe his do is affecting his ability to hear the snap count... ;D

He didn't budge on that "false start". The bengals jumped the line.

Those where some ticky tack bull**** calls on our next to last possession. Hamilton's false start was a phantom call, Casey's hold isn't a hold 9 times out of 10. Amateur hour with the officials put us in a bad spot.

Funny how they where suddenly stricken blind when the Bengals got the ball back. On Benson's big run you could even clearly see an OL reach over Fields' shoulder and down into his pads to keep him from pursuing before Benson got past the LOS. That was just the most obvious no-call too.

I really wish the league meant it when they said they where going to call holding more legitimately this year, and not just in pre-season. Dumervil was getting damn near undressed on half his blitzes.

Those weren't exactly flagrant fouls ... and Ben opened some holes, several nice blocks when Buck was blasting up the middle in the first half.

Speaking of that, where was Buck during most of the 2nd half? He looked great early.

Buckhalter was the best back on the field today. I wonder if he got hurt or had cramps or something because Moreno clearly isnt ready.

That would make sense, cramps. Buckhalter was maybe the #1 bright spot on offense. Him, and finally using Graham on 3rd downs ... Graham is perfect for Orton.

Plus, Ryan freaking Clady. In the first half, he was so nonchalant in pass protection, his opponent kinda just gave up a few times, lost cause before the ball was even snapped :~ohyah!:

And Ben ... I think he'll be trade bait next offseason, he's really a ZBS specialist.

Either that, or maybe he slides over when Casey retires? Kory is gone.

Orton made him block bad.

I think the offensive line in general was a concern today. If they keep playing at this level we're not going to win many games.

Some stupid calls, but I have never liked him. Think we can have someone in much better, but with Kuper out, dont think that will happen till he comes back 100%

i was going to say...i don't remember seeing anyone move on any of our false start penalties!! I was hoping they'd do a replay but never did.

At run blocking, yes..pass pro, no! There were some plays where he stood back there for longer than normal and still got sacked. Although it seemed we ran the ball more effectively with Buckhalter in the game than Moreno. Maybe with a couple of games and more practice we'll see some more production out of him. As a whole...the offense played like ****.

Orton made him block bad.

Actually the way the QB drops back and where he set up does have impact on how interior linemen block.

What concern me the most is that Cincy, like Chicago did in the third preseason game, strongly attacked the A gaps. It looks like book on Orton is attack right up the middle because he can not get to edge and hurt you.

Clady just stonewalled his guy every time I watched him. If I were an opposing DC I wouldn't even bother rushing anyone over him. I'd just leave him free and put my DE someplace else on passing downs.

Hamilton must read the Mane:

Heres an idea. Seattle. Their Oline is garbage and he could be a huge improvement for them in the new ZBS they're running.

Maybe we could get Derryl Tapp or one of their Dline that seemed pretty dominant on Sunday.
