Did anyone else just about break their TV when we went from 38 seconds to 20 seconds after cincy's late touchdown? I felt like I was in the twighlight zone... apparently McD did as well. Everyone else in my house thought I was nuts... I kept yelling "38 seconds!!!" Even the announcers missed it. Would that have ultimately made a difference? Not sure, but I would have been incredibly pissed if we lost with home cooking from the guy running the clock.

I was freaking out too, Doc. I wondered why the announcers weren't talking about it, either.

Yeah, thats why McDaniels spent like 10 minutes ripping the officials.

I was talking to OSKIE about this, completely furious that 18 seconds got robbed from us.

But the reason the clock was switched to 20 was on the pass play to the 1 that was reviewed, the clock shouldn't have stopped according to OSKIE. So they ticked off the 18 seconds until the review.

Not sure what McD said to get the 18 seconds back or if that's the reason the 18 seconds were ticked off in the first place, but I was LIVID we were getting robbed.

It was the same announcers who said Palmers pass was "on a laser" same play "kinda loob it up there" -Dan Fouts

I was freaking out about it, and the announcers are just absolute morons. They didn't notice it, or if they did they didn't comment on it...just talking about how McD was spending a lot of time talking to the refs

McD said in the interview that they did not restart the clock after the review like they should have, or else he would have called a TO to stop the clock. Because he wasn't given that opportunity they charged Cinci with the TO and put 18s back on the clock.

Well played by McD then.

The worst was it appeared the Refs were going to completely blow McD off. It wasn't until after the extra point that someone said hey morons the clock kept ticking after the whistle.

It was fail all the way around.

It was under 2 minutes so the booth officials should have stopped the clock for review instantly (and the clock should have been at 38 seconds), and ultimately not charged the Bengals a TO because it was a booth review. And the stupid officials couldn't even make up their mind who was going to get a TO charged to them and the announcers were sleeping all day long. On that one great play of the Broncos they said Lewis should be happy, and then like 10 seconds later they said, I mean he should not be happy. Frickin drink some coffee man and wake up.

I knew thats exactly what McD was talking to the refs about..i was thinking the samething. There was 41 seconds on the clock before Cinci ran their play.

I noticed the 18 seconds that were "lost" and had an idea that's why the game was delayed with all the discussions with McD. I was watching the game in a sports bar with a Raven dominated fan base and couldn't hear the announcers.

it was just the perfect set of events that led up to the win

I was confused because no team called a timeout, and after review, the clock should've started ticking down, and Cincy snapped the ball with like 8 seconds left on the play clock, so there is 17 seconds and the 4 seconds to score, 21 seconds leaving 20 seconds left on the clock. That is what I thought anyways.
I guess there was no indication that was going on, and I'm surprised that they came out and charged Cincy with a timeout. I mean, why? Did they call one? No? Then why charge them with one?

I was pissed about it, but MCD made is right and it worked out in the end.
