What the hell happened to him? I always thought that guy was gonna be good.

He made a mistake by hiring an agent before waiting to see if the court decision would be appealed, which it was, which made him inelligible, so he had to sit out the entire 2004 season.

Then he got drafted by the Lions, where all pro players (except Barry Sanders) go to die.

In the next 2 years, he had an injury and played well at times, dropped lots of passes in others. Then he got traded to the Raiders (where the rest of the pro players go to die).

He then gained a bunch of pounds (271) and got traded to the Titans. He lost some of the extra weight, but then was released.

Last I heard he was a free agent.

Do you mean Charles Rodgers?

Three years in a row, the Lions drafted a WR with their first pick

2003 - Charles Rodgers (bust)
2004 - Roy Williams
2005 - Mike Williams

Probably the most over hyped player ever on the OM... and that's saying something.

Mike Williams has skills but somewhere lost his desire or mind. Maybe it was the year he sat out (big mistake). He needs to get to the UFL and try his hand there. Sometimes you need to suck it up and realize you need to start on the bottom to get the chance again at the top. I loved him at SC and he is still young to re-juvenate his career.

Yeah, by now USC has caught up with Florida when it comes to wide outs who didnt pan out in the pros.

He was just another slow Wideout who looked good against lesser defenders at USC.

The only thing I would draft out of USC are safeties.

All the "top" schools have guys that are "studs" in collage, get a lot of hype because the physical talent on their teams that really don't have the skills sets or techniques to be solid pros.

I guess between him and Darius Watts I have to accept I can't pick receivers for shiit. ;D

They say half of the problem is admitting it. :curtsey:

Mel Kiper, Jr. lost almost all of his credibility by staking his reputation on this steaming pile of Trojan.
